It's a nice place, location and facilities. However it lacks refinement like poor internet (drops out and slow), single beds pushed together as a 'double', so you really fill the hump in the middle and lastly you can hear the traffic at night or the pub next door.

Firstly the apartment looks fantastic for what you're paying for, we had a 2 bedroom apartment with a bathroom each and a very nice lounge room and kitchen. the beds are comfortable, the rooms have heaters and a TV in each room as well as the lounge room. Only negatives would be the bathrooms didn't have any fans or exhaust...

The rooms are lovely and well appointed. The beds comfortable and the kitchen easy to use but it's hard to get past the rudeness of the front desk staff. They acted as if the mere act of checking in was of great inconvenience to them! Surely that's what they were there for! They have incredibly expensive parking available but don't...

Dear Guest, We are very disappointed to say the least that you feel our reception staff did not act appropriately as the staff at Milano are without exception extremely customer focused and have on many occasions gone beyond the call of duty to care for guests. Price for our car parking is $23.00 per night for secure undercover on-site parking...

We are enjoyable to stay at Milano Serviced Apt during our holiday in Melbourne. Nice room, clean and completely home serviceable for a family with 3 kids like me. Next to supermarket, 5 mins walking distance to Central and Queen Victoria Market. Even though the Apt Management had bit misunderstanding with me at the beginning of our stay, I fully...

Was most impressed with this place. We were to stay at their sister property for the night at Tribeca Apartments in East Melbourne, but when we arrived someone had set off the fire sprinkler in the hallway and our apartment was drying off.. they offered to upgrade us and include car parking at the Milano. Accepted the offer as was...

The location couldn't get any better, it's a 3 min walk from Queen Victoria Mkt and a five min walk from Melbourne Central and Emporium. It's right next to a grocery store which is extremely convenient . Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Heaters were so efficient! Although toiletries should be provided in a greater quantity if 5 people are...

This hotel was amazing. we loved staying here!!! The furniture and style was all modern, the rooms were very nice. We stayed in a 2 bedroom which would suit a family or a group of friends perfectly. We had the extra sofa bed too so it was a great time having a place where all of us could stay together...

This serviced apartment block is a joy to stay at. It's professionally staffed, very clean and the rooms ( I have stayed in a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom) are both spacious and have a great layout. I love the views from the balconys of both sides of the city, close to supermarkets and pubs. Franklin street is a...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
