Clean, friendly, good service. No view, it was my 50th and they gave me a bottle of Merlot, which was a nice touch. Tiny entrance, but great location and rooms for the price we paid. Room was well set out but a little small, mind you if you compare it with Singapore it was huge, lol.

Stayed here for 6 nights. Stay was pleasant. All the basics were taken care off. The room was clean, had fresh towels everyday and there's a kitchen to do basic cooking. The room is not especially big (might not be able to open 3 big luggages) but you can definitely make do. Breakfast was okay. Not much variety for 17AUD/pp...

I have stayed at a few Mercures now and it's always a pleasant stay. Unfortunately this time it just wasn't quite up to the same high standards I've come to expect of Mercure. The layout of the rooms is quite good, even equiped with a small stove if you wish to dine in but the rooms were very noisy. I...

The hotel is in a great location to the Vic Market, Fitzroy everywhere else in the city. There is a tram stop right down from of hotel if you don't want to walk. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again

I stayed here earlier this month and I was more satisfied when I left then I was when I arrived. This is quite a nice hotel and it wouldn't take them much to lift their game but I checked in late and was given the room I booked. Be careful when booking a Twin at this location as it is...

This hotel is centrally located and occupies the top floors of a high-rise building. The room was nice and comfortable. There was road work outside, but the noise could not be heard. Very friendly staff

Glad I've chosen Mercure on Therry St. Great location just right across Victoria Market. Walking distant to Carlton where you can find many restaurants and things to do. Comfortable stay without disturbing city noise. Staff was friendly. Good value.

Great location very close to Victoria Market and short walk to free trams. Room was supposedly a "Privilege Studio 1 Queen Bed". No mineral water, only one dressing gown, horrible tasting fudge rather than chocolate and no mineral water. Room...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
