We stayed at the City Limits for one night and found it to be very clean, comfortable and convenient.Booking by phone was handled by a very helpful staff member who answered all our questions and explained everything. Reception staff were friendly on our arrival. Access to upstairs was via a small but working lift. Our City Deluxe Queen room was a good size, very clean with a kitchenette and ensuite with bath and shower. The bed was spacious, comfortable and clean. The view was only of other city buildings but that was expected.Parking was a small car park on site. We were able to make arrangements to leave the car there while we went to the city the next day at an additional cost.Nearby were theatres, Chinatown, shops and many restaurants. The location is in the top end of the CBD of Melbourne.Overall a good quality small hotel in the city at a reasonable cost."…
My partner and I were looking for some cheaper, but clean accom. The apart had recently been refurbished. It was really clean. We got a $90 a night deal, and that put us on the 3rd floor. If you want a view from your room, book a higher level. Could easily walk everywhere and a block away from where China Town starts.
We booked here for the location (perfectly placed for access to the theatre or reasonable walk to AAMI Park) and were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and well maintained the room was. The facilities also allow for simple meals to be cooked if you don’t want to eat at one of the multitude of restaurants nearby. Friendly service at all hours if you need assistance.
I stayed at the City Limits hotel based upon TripAdvisor ratings. It was a great choice. It was a great location, it was a fantastic room, continental breakfast was put in our fridge daily, and the staff was very professional. Only inconvenience was the room's a/c wasn't up to the task of cooling the room sufficiently on Melbourne's hot summer days. I would stay again.
Lovely place well located near Chinatown and the theatres, within free tram zone area so very easy to get around town. Well priced with large rooms and a small kitchen area ideal for making something before you venture out. Our deal included breakfast package which was ideal and gave you a good start to your day. If your looking for good accommodation in Melbourne at a reasonable price look no further.
