This hostel offers very high, almost hotel-like, standards and is located very centrally. It's a big place, which means it doesn't have much character. At check-in, I wasn't told anything about the city, transport, sights, given a map or anything like that. There is a visitor centre just across the street, though, but I still would have expected more from...

Hello there, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a great review. Other than the free WiFi access we have in our chill areas and bar we do actually have a high speed WiFi available in our rooms. There is a cost involved of $4 for the day & $12 for 7 days. It is good to get...

The rooms are clean. And quite a good kitchen. The main star here is certainly the location though, as it is situated right across from flinders station and federation square. And within the free tram zone in the center of the city. The only problem is that it is a dry hostel in order to promote their bar

Hello there. Thanks so much for taking the time to review our hostel and such a glowing one at that. You are correct, we are a dry hostel. We have to do that so we can make sure we respect our responsible service of alcohol and abide by the rules laid out in our liquor licence, having said that the...

This hostel has amazingly helpful and friendly staffs, great bar, and i met bunch of awesome people in this hostel. The room and the kitchen were clean, although they could improve their cleanliness in the shared bathroom. Because my flight was canceled, I have stayed in two different room. First one was 12-bed mixed dormitory with shared bathroom without air...

I had a great stay out here! Most of the people staying are a bit young (19-22) but fun to talk to. Location is perfect! Staff is great! Rooms are brilliant - ensuite bathrooms - oh yes! They have a bar as well with fun activities - great stay!

I stay in this hostel for three nights and I found it amazing, the mattress and pillow are really comfortable, they have a big locker under the bed, you can have your own light and plug to charge your stuff, the bathroom it's just for one person (very uncommon in hostel but awesome). Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
