Good location, opposite Flinders Street station. Very friendly and helpful staff. I booked a private room with ensuite, it was perfect with a nice shower and tea/coffee and kettle. My 9 year old daughter was pleased that there was a t.v. in the room. All...More
The pillow and blanket here were the best that I have ever had in hostels! Clean environment and nice bar downstairs. Also, the location was amazing too! You can easily get to train/tram station by foot and it only takes few minutes!
We arrived at midnight and our roommates had their stuff everywhere - literally, everywhere, and i couldn't even go up my bunk w/o moving her bags. They were super noisy and inconsiderate during our entire stay (they'd been there for 5 mos. already, apparently) and...More
Really nice hostel in the city, you can walk everywhere! Strategic position if you don't want to take public transport and enjoy the city walking.
Staff is nice and polite.
The hostel is really clean, good service.
I highly recommend this hostel to everyone.
A really good hostel. Everything you need is there. The staff is friendly and it's really fun to live there. Especially the specials in the bar are very good. The common areas were cleaned regularly and it was (for a hostel) clean.
But free WIFI...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

They're pretty big but honestly most of the ladies in my dorm (ladies only dorm) used them for valuables and left our clothes in our bags by the side of beds it was much easier access. Admittedly less secure and 1 or 2 items of clothing for some ladies went missing but I didn't have a problem. you can always keep ur bag locked too if it won't all fit in the locker.
