We spent 3 nights here. Cheap rate, clean room and cheap parking Quick walk to tram station Impressed with what we got for what we paid. All the staff were very friendly and accomodating as well. Would recommend if you need a cheap place go stay just out of the Melbourne CBD
Hotel has lovely staff who are willing to help and give you advice on where to go in the city. It rained all 3 days we stayed and the staff allowed us to borrow an umbrella which was no hassle for them. For the price it’s outstanding. Location is great - near the city centre but far away enough to be away from the busy city centre. The hotel has loads of cafes nearby and the Queen Victoria market is an easy 10 minute walk. If you want a decent hotel for a good price then this is the place to stay.
We had 2 nights in Melbourne at the Miami Hotel and thought it was amazing value. The hotel was very clean, the staff were especially helpful (especially Julie at reception), and nothing was too much trouble. It was a great location and easy access to town. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
To find such a little gem so close to cbd at such a cheap price. Building looks quite dated, but the rooms, though small, were fresh, modern and spotless with all the little extras more expensive hotels (usually) have. Were able to get offstreet secure parking on site for a charge, and was still cheaper than other hotels close by. Friendly efficient staff. Has a small cafe on premises offering good range of breakfasts at good prices. Close by, 100m, are Errol Street shops, where you can find other eating options. This is a nice old part of Melbourne. Trams to city 50m. Excellent.
We arrived 2 hrs before the check-in time, but the receptionist was so nice that he let us in our room earlier. I had booked a room with a king size bed with a comment that I would like a twin room. The comment got lost in the booking process, but the problem was efficiently solved. I like their green approach and thinking. The bathroom was big, beds comfy, however it was a bit stuffy in our room (8). There was an aircon to use, but I would have preferred more natural air. There was a tiny problem with the kettle in our room. It must have been washed with some cleaner because the boiled water tasted and smelled like a detergent. Overall though we had a great stay :)
