It is very close to The Alfred hospital so that was good. However, my room was cold. The draft under the door made it impossible for the poor heating system to warm the room. The bed had a basic mattress, no mattress protector, one thin blanket and no extra one or even extra pillows. Everything was dirty, old and shabby....

We recently stayed at Hotel Saville due to a cancelled flight, on our arrival we stood at the reception desk for 10 minutes while the receptionist handled a phone enquiry without acknowledging we were there. The room was tiny and not worth the $150 we paid for it. The people staying in the room next door had their radio blarring...

Yes, the rooms are a little old, but dingy is going way too far. My room was comfortable and clean, with air conditioning, fridge, tea & coffee making, a balcony and a comfortable bed, table and seating. Parking on site is limited but was always available when I needed it anyway. The Alfred parking lot is on the opposite corner...

Booked one night as was close to family staying in the area & booked twin share in case my niece wanted to stay the night with me. Paid way to much for the room it was dodgy, not clean at all. Only good if you needed to be close to the hospital & don't mind dirty dingy rooms.

Recently my parents stayed here while my nephew their grandson was admitted to the Alfred Hospital. Amongst all the drama with the lack of ambulances and beds and everything else I hurriedly booked this hotel down the road. Well they loved it a massive relief for them, the room was a family room, only one of two rooms available on...

Stayed here overnight on a work trip. Location was great as only a few minute walk to the research precinct where I was training. Is also close to Chapel St and eateries. Bed was comfortable, room was tidy. Didn't need more as was only there 1 night. Breakfast was disappointing, especially as coffee was not available. Hotel seems to be...

Booked through quickbeds and payed $139 for the night. It was advertised as a split level room. Upon check-in we found ourselves in a tiny, dingy room with an unimpressive bathroom. It wasn't a massive problem as we weren't planning on spending much time in the hotel and the location suited our needs. We left our key at reception and...

I stayed here this week on my own. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. It is noisy, but that is unpreventable give its location. Beds were comfortable and the shower was hot and strong. Plenty of blankets and adequate heating/cooling. All channels on tv and free Internet for refundable $10 deposit. Free on site parking. No complaints from me.

Whilst staying at this hotel with my family, we found a used condom on the bedside table. We were offered breakfast as compensation. We refused breakfast (as we had other plans and believed that this was inadequate) and requested our room fee be refunded instead. After a week, we have still not had a reply to this request. I think...

“Get a room which faces NE, away from both Punt and Commercial Roads. Also if you want a park immediately around the hotel (as opposed to other parking the hotel has a short distance away), you should aim to leave the car there and use public transport.”
