I wouldn't recommend rooms 8 or 9. We were moved from 9 to 8. Not sure about the other rooms, but this hotel is very run down. The rooms look nothing like the promotional photos. The cleanliness level was not at a good standard. The staff were helpful and did end up offering a refund (through Jetstar), but it was... More

Inexpensive hotel close to transport and a 10 minute walk to the city. Lovely lavender gardens, very good breakfast and pleasant staff. If you want peace and quiet in a great area of Melbourne, I would recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our week there.

Great location to town and MCG and Hisense Arena etc. First glance, you think OMG, but once inside its fine. Place can do with some paint and polish, and repairs. Curtains are tied in middle of window (decent curtain rail, and sash to side would be better). Rooms are small (we had twin room), bathroom tiny too. It was clean,... More

Stayed here twice now neat clean accommodation close to city in quiet area of Richmond. Top class service from friendly staff who are only to eager to help. Off street parking was a huge bonus. Breakfast is great with options for every type and taste preference.

Powlett Street East Melbourne has a wonderful ambience. Old leafy trees, exquisite Victorian buildings and wide streets. This hotel is another beautiful building that has tacky decor and no attention to necessary upkeep has been made. Very unprofessional repairs -see photo of reading lamp in my room. The screen on my window is torn. Walls have very yucky marks that... More

We visited the Magnolia Court Boutique Hotel a while ago and even after our visit, we still cannot forget our stay. Situated a short walk away from Melbourne park, the hotel offers the best rooms available. Other nice touches are the security entry system, the breakfast buffet and the lovely garden which marks the hotel out as something a bit... More

Good value for location...easy walk through Fitzroy Garden to cafes and restaurants. Staff are polite and friendly...a nice breakfast selection after 8am. The deluxe room we had in the 1860's terrace was not as described nor were the images current...perhaps with a little maintenance it could be restored.

This hotel is perfectly located if you are heading to the MCG and super cheap by Melbourne standards. The rooms are small and shabby and a bit awkwardly laid out, but clean. Free breakfast had lots of options but could have been cleaner. Staff were polite but there is no assistance to get bags up stairs and there is no... More

I found this hotel to be everything I needed for a one night stay on business, however I was surprised and disappointed that the toilet did not look as if it had been cleaned. The usual paper sash indicating the toilet has been cleaned, was not on the lid. Despite being an older fitout looking tired, the bed was comfortable... More
