Stayed for a week, loved the building and neighborhood all the heritage structures. Yeah it has seen better days but as a place basically to sleep at, it fits the bill. Very basic breakfast but close to coffee places and public transport. Would stay here again for convenience.

I was pleased given the price and location, was happy with the service I received, room was basic but clean, staff were friendly. This would be the perfect location if you staying in Melbourne and attending a football or other game1

Yes the room was small and dated but this is comparative with the moderate cost. The outside of the property is beautiful and we ate our breakfast included in the price on the patio overlooking green trees and historic homes. The staff could have been more friendly and engaging.

Hotel is in a nice Victorian building very near to the center of Melbourne. However the quality of the rooms and the hotel itself is poor. A refurbishment is needed! Breakfast is very poor an not tasty. Parking is free, but space is limited, so that you have to park one car behind the other. You have to leave the... More

A lovely trip back in time - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the hotel is located in a lovely quiet inner city suburb, a short walk through Fitzroy Gardens to the city or take a tram from either end of the street. My spacious room had a full sized marble fireplace, period furniture, huge flat screen TV, microwave, toaster,... More

Nice, cosy place, convenient location, a short walk to Melbourne CBD. The place is starting to show signs of wear (eg. carpet frayed in 1 spot in our room, no major issues though), however our room was clean, tidy and comfortable. TV, fridge, microwave, & coffee/tea provided in room was useful. Staff were very helpful. Complimentary breakfast was enjoyable and... More

chose this property for its character home, position and proximity to the MCG , transport into the city, and Victoria Gardens. As can be expected character home with 1950's sympathetic addition, history aside this property is a little tired, but clean. Friendly staff no lift for upstairs rooms, some rooms a bit dodgy especially family suite with different levels. Stayed... More

The B&B was fantastic. We enjoyed the convenient location, Victorian style, and we were very comfortable. I was completely satisfied with our accommodation. We found everything clean and liked the fridge & microwave availability. I have read the other reviews about the declining furnishings & agree that some things need to be addressed, but nothing too bad. Located in a... More

Top location in leafy quiet surrounds tram stops either end of street., but hotel very run down, torn Curtains, old & dusty chairs, mirrors, floral arrangements & paintings, carpet worn joins coming apart in some areas which is a trip hazard. Room small but comfortable, not cleaned properly, cups just washed in bathroom sink under water then placed on washer... More
