The Grand Hotel is one of my favourite hotels when my wife and I visit Melbourne. We are platinum members with Accor and it has to be one of the best choices for a Melbourne stay. Great location, great rooms, nice amenities and close to everything including transport and Southbank. Melbourne is a really easy city to navigate with the... More

If you like colonial splendour, high ceilings, large rooms and modern comfort - come here. If you want to stay in a nameless identical modern hotel - go somewhere else. As other reviewers have said, the corridors are vast. The ceilings are high. I stayed in a loft room where I had a spacious sitting room with kitchen, TV and... More

This hotel has so much history and you are reminded as you walk through all the corridors. It seems Robert Menzies had an office here when he worked for Vic Railways, very early on in his career . The restaurant also takes you back in time. very handy to Southern Cross station.

Interesting self contained apartments in the old Railway Offices. Boutique style dining area served a pleasant breakfast. Moderate tariff, and very well located for riverside attractions, and public transport for touring tourist attractions by tram.

I stayed at this hotel some years ago, and attending a conference at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre decided to stay here again. I was not disappointed. From the very friendly, helpful and welcoming reception staff to the room, and the fantastic breakfasts and meals - everything was fantastic. I stayed 3 nights, and part of the tariff included breakfasts -... More

I stayed here for a conference at the convention centre and this was a great location, easy walking distance. The history and character of this building is amazing, the room was great, two levels with seperate bedroom/bathroom level from the living area, complete with kitchen. The hallways had soring 20 foot ceilings and were stunning. Close to the railway lines... More

Very interesting design, the room was composed of 3 levels – kitchen, living room and the upper level bad and bath room. Breakfast is served by order – very nice and refreshing vs the standard buffet Could be a nice option for staying near the CBD.
