Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

Convenient to everything, clean, safe and well appointed. Close to everything you could possibly need, restaurants, cafes, attractions and transport. Being on a small side street meant there was no constant traffic noise, even though I had a street-side room.

We stayed twice at this hotel in November, for our first time at the Victoria. Just exactly what I've been looking for, after staying at other hotels in Melbourne with the same price and star rating. Lovely rooms, clean, well appointed and quiet. Both rooms had been renovated,

Stayed here for our weekend in Melbourne. The hotel is in a great situation for getting around and seeing the sights. Our room was quiet with an extremely comfortable bed. Very pleasant staff on reception when we checked in and we were able to check in early which was good.

The Victoria Hotel is located in a great central location adjoining the Melbourne Town Hall it has a lovely reception area. The private car park is located just a short distance up Little Collins Street and the cost was competitive with nearby public car parks. Pre-paying the

We were welcomed by a obnoxious car parking attendant, who aggressively spoke to us. The room was clean but bed so uncomfortable and the aircon was poor. It was a warm night and we were not comfortable. The day we were leaving the customer service lady at the desk didn't even

When we arrived we went straight to the information desk and the lady there recommended a company, I think it was called conneXtions. It was a minibus that took us straight to the hotel. It arrived within minutes of booking. We got a return, they are very reliable and their communication good. It was more expensive than the sky's but very good value and direct. I recommend this way of getting to the hotel. As for a car park at the Hotel Victoria I am not sure there is one.

I think you can take a cab for 40mins ride or the train from Terminal 1 Skybus (also est around 40 mins). This is based on my research because i flew in from the int airport and arranged for an airport shuttle before arriving in Mel. Hope this helps 😉

We use the Skybus it has a very regular schedule from the airport to Melbourne and return. Once you get to the Skybus terminal in Melbourne there are smaller buses that drop you at designated points around the city included in the cost of the fare. For the two of us we find buying a Skybus ticket cheaper than a cab fare. It is something to explore. Just go to the Skybus website and review their charges
