The rooms are always comfortable and cosy and the location is great. -People working outside the front door were always efficient, helpful and friendly. - We have never found the check in service here to be particularly friendly and it still isnt. - First time we have been allocated a room under the apartments that you enter via separate lifts. -This establishment doesn’t seem to really care about your ‘Marriott’ status as there is never any upgrades available. - Still alot of construction going on around the general area of the hotel for the public transport network - We found toenail clipping on the floor despite the room already being cleaned 3 times while we were there - Went to reception to specifically request our room be cleaned in next couple of hours as my wife wasn’t feeling well and asked for the toenail clipping to be removed off the floor. Yeah sure sure.. Came back 4 hours later and the room was still not cleaned. Went to reception and asked to speak to the manager. Ended up talking to the rooms manager and she handled the situation well. - Coffee takeaway purchased from level 1 was nice. - The TV kept showing a spinning wheel and freezing, on both free to air and casting – very annoying. -We went to breakfast on level 1 and it is nothing to rave about, save your money as there are far better places to dine locally.

This is a very nice and centrally located hotel. It is 3 minutes short walking distance to the Flinder’s station, which is a hub for all the local metropolitan train lines. There is also a tram stop near the hotel. The rooms are clean and well equipped for your needs. I did not use many of the facilities during my stay except for breakfast, which came with my Bonvoy Elite. The food is good and the staff all very helpful and courteous. I would not hesitate to stay here again if in Melbourne.

We love the location of this hotel, close to theatres, restaurants and shopping. Breakfast is one of the best hotel buffet breakfasts around, food at least doesn't go cold while walking back to your table and eggs and waffles can be cooked to order. We had one disappointment which was the Lobby Bar was supposed to be open from 9 am to late. What time is late? We arrived back at the hotel just before 11 pm from a show and thought we'd grab a nightcap only to find the bar had closed. We didn't think that 11 pm was late. We did make mention of our disappointment and we were able to order drinks to be brought to our room. Immediate problem solved by excellent customer service. We did mention on checkout that 'late' is subjective and that it would probably be a good idea to put an actual closing time so there can be no confusion. I'm not a fan of the pillows, one is too low and two is too high. I will resolve this situation by taking my own pillow next time. The small inconveniences we had will not put us off from staying at The Westin Melbourne in the future.

Clean and spacious, but stuck in the past. The light switches are so difficult to navigate and the amenities are below average. At the end of a very long work day, you need simplicity. Hair dryers were old and broken. The coffee was blah. Don’t get me wrong the room was clean and bed was comfortable, but at a 5 star pricing, it lacked the little things that you’d expect to make your stay easier.

There's a bewildering number of hotels to choose from in Melbourne, and a bit of a conundrum as to which end of town is best. So this time, we went central central and stayed at the Westin. First, location:-- great! Pretty close to all the places we wanted to go, close to the station, plenty of trams, theatres right near by. The hotel itself:- top notch. Great staff, nice rooms. Pretty much flawless. There is a bit of construction going on next door at the City Square, but we didn't find that disruptive at all. We took a Regent Suite, which is certainly spacious and well appointed.

This is the second time I’ve stayed in the hotel on business . Good sized room, pleasant staff, good breakfast and airy reception area. Pool and gym looked good, but I didn’t use them. We also used the conferencing rooms. The cost is high, but the staff and the food were excellent. Overall a good trip.

Every time I come to the Westin, Brad and Ian make me feel at home. They go above and beyond to make my stay special. It’s always great to get greeted by them at the door. Caroline is also the most helpful front desk staff I’ve encountered. She’s the best. These three are the main reason why I always chose the Westin over anywhere else in Melbourne.
