The staff we great, so there is no problem there. The rooms were not real clean. The bed cover was stained (by God only knows what), the toilet was still wet and there was food stuff stuck to the couch. The bathroom floods when you have a shower. The lifts were noisy. And two rooms on the floor I stayed...

This hotel is well situated at #1 Spring St if you have business in the area. However, it is not a long walk to major shopping and entertainment areas. The room was very clean, but also very tight. Only just enough room for the double bed and side cabinets. Bathroom also small with hardly any spacve to put my toiletries...

Thank you for your comments on location to not only business but also leisure activities within the city and surrounds. Please be sure to check what different types of rooms are available when you make your booking as we have different room types including Privilege Rooms with a king sized bed and a balcony overlooking the gardens. We stayed here one night post cruise, and managed to both check in early (09.45) and check out late (16.00), though the latter cost $40. However the front desk staff were very helpful and obliging. There are steps up to the hotel and you have to carry your bags as there is no bell service. The lobby was always crowded,...

To start with we booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds each for 8 people, but was given 2 rooms with 2 queen in one and 1 queen in another. When asked was told we booked through Expedia and they cannot help. The room booked was garden view but one side was the hotel wall and cannot see anything. Had...

The front counter staffs are very helpful and friendly. They did a good jobs. The buffet breakfast had enough items to choose and are delicious. The room for family is quite spacious and the double beds are comfortable. The tourist information a bit hard to find and need more brochures.

Our family stayed for three nights just before New Year for a city getaway. We have two Children aged 2 and 4. We had a Twin room with excellent views over the Treasury Gardens. The service we experienced was second to none! The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean and modern, though the bathroom is a...

The hotel is clean, situated in an excellent location near the park and the MCG stadium. Our family of four, 2 adults and 2 small kids, had a blast as downtown was on walking distance, the breakfast had plenty options, and the park view was great. The 2 double Queen size beds served us well. Would definitely go there next...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
