Excellently positioned if you are attending sporting events at the MCG, AAMI Park or Rod Laver Arena as it is a very short walk to all of them. As with all Hotels around the world, they do not cater very well for families of 6 with the cost rising dramatically as you have to have two hotel rooms. Bring back... More

I was pleased to read that you and your family had an enjoyable stay. The Bar usually stays open later, however due to demand, without knowing exactly when you were here it is hard for me to comment but always feel free to ask the team and they will do their best to accommodate. We look forward to seeing you... More

A well locate hotel near the hearth of Melbourne, easy to access by car or public transport, in front of the superb park of Treasury Gardens. Rooms are very nice, new and good-sized for a business traveller or even a couple on holiday. Personnel is ok, helped me very easily; price is not cheap, but it seems to be aligned... More

Were initially upgraded to a Garden View room, which was nice. Unfortunately the plumbing in the bathroom was leaking. The staff & manager were extremely quick to respond & were very apologetic. We then were promptly upgraded again to the Garden View room with a balcony. Nice hotel, close to tram stop, still disappointed Accor Hotels in Victoria don't stock... More

Spent 5 days here with our friends during Melbourne Cup! Hotel is located across the road from the Treasury Gardens (great for morning walks), a few metres from free City Circle Tram stop, 10 mins walk to Flinders Street Station, same to Princess Theatre, restaurants/cafes in Bourke Street (Italian), Little Bourke (Chinatown), Collins (up market shoppppping!) and Lonsdale for Greek... I have just returned from a 5 day stay at the Mercure Treasury Gardens and could not fault this hotel. On arrival we discovered we had been put into a room with a king bed. As a mother and daughter we had requested twin beds, although the hotel was heavily booked the room was changed very quickly. I then realised... More

We had a lovely time at the Mercure Treasury Gardens, we had booked to see a show at the Comedy Theatre and the Hotel was only a 15 min walk away, We arrived at about 2:00pm, checked in,(room was lovely) then went for a walk in the Treasury Gardens (just across the road), and to China Town, had Dinner about... This hotel is good choice for this part of town within walking distance of Federation Square and Bourke Street shopping. Rates seem to vary but is excellent value if you get a good rate. We stayed on the top (11th floor) in a King Garden view room. This room was compact but just ok for two with suitcases. The web... More

The Mercure Treasury Gardens has small well refurbished rooms that have all the required amenities. The rooms are not large but are certainly adequate, do not expect a large bathroom it is tiny but well designed. Service in the hotel is very good and the restaurant serves very good food. It is a solid 4 star property right in the... More

Took about 30 minutes from Melbourne International Airport by taxi to the Hotel at a cost of AUD60. I had arrived quite early in the morning but had booked my room online from the night before so the room was immediately available on check in. The Hotel is relatively dwarfed by surrounding buildings but my room had a wonderful view... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
