    Excellent location, Great Stay
We had a 2 night getaway just after xmas. Have stayed here before many years ago and we got a good deal. We booked a Club King Room. Our view was of Collins & Russell Streets which you could hear no outside noise. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows. A couch , round table & chair, desk with outlets for your computer & mobile for charging. The bathroom had a large deep bath, good size shower with decent water pressure, shaving mirror and vanity. The club access is naturally more expensive, but we love it. I did see 1 review where the guests had to self serve tea/coffee & soft drinks. This is only due to Covid. Covid has changed the way hotels have to operate, so please give them some slack, there is no rule book for this. Evening canapes are served, but if you want more, that is not a problem, you can go and help yourself. Drinks of wine, beer, sparkling, soft drink, juices and always being topped up by the friendly staff. Breakfast is also served in the restaurant, known as Collins Kitchen. A full buffet, everything your heart desires plus some. The hallways of the hotel were quiet and we very rarely ran into other guests. Because of Covid, it was hotel policy to wear your mask in the public areas of the hotel. Most guests did this, but there are always some that don't follow the rules. I did notice no staff acted on this policy. The hotel is in a great location, close to all shopping, a train stop on Collins street, a 2 minute walk from the hotel, Flinders Street Station (train), about a 10 minute walk. I would recommend staying at this hotel.
Dear Jenny0401, Thank you for your wonderful feedback regarding your experience with us. We are glad to learn that our services and facilities have met your expectations during your visit. Once again, thank you for your kind review. It was our pleasure having you as our guest, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

    And A Great Location
We had a lovely stay at the hotel, we downloaded the Hyatt app and booked through it and got a very competitive rate. The hotel delivers a 5 star stay without resorting to St Regis or Four Seasons prices and it’s right on the button location wise on Collins Street near everything you might need. The staff are very professional and when we checked in Jennifer was very patient with us and happy to get a map and show us where the sites and shops were, nothing was too much trouble. The concierge were just as friendly and helpful when we got speaking with those gentlemen, one of them insisted on walking us to a destination whilst it was raining. We had a high up room with a view over the river, gardens and the stadiums, fantastic recommendation by the hotel. Of course this is a big busy central Melbourne hotel popular with international tourists but nothing is too much trouble for them and they make you feel very special so much so when we reported that a previous guest had eaten the pringles and resealed the carton they immediately sent up a complimentary pack, very kind and sweet of them to do that. Will definitely stay again and the app really worked.

    AO 2020
Enjoyed a visit to the AO. Overall rooms were adequate. Slightly dated. Lounge was good however apparently they allow folks ordering in food with some very poor smelling food. As a globalist / diamond for the past 7 years was not super impressed. The upgrade was limited likely to the AO but both rooms were more or less standard. Last few nights in the lounge had the same crew of folks who didn’t meet dress code ordering food in making an ad-hoc buffet during evening service which is incredibly distasteful Staff was unwilling to do anything as they ate poorly smelly food and interrupted service. Overall leaving a poor taste in our mouth for this property. Likely will stick to the park Hyatt although we much like the location due to the incredible lack of taste allowed in this setting.

We had a deluxe king corner room facing the north and west. Although on the 25th floor the views were mainly of surrounding buildings. The room was well appointed and the bed and linen was super comfortable and luxurious. This hotel is in the best location. One block to the Regent theatre where we went to see a show and so handy for shopping on Collins st. Staff were all exceptional. Friendly, courteous and efficient. The buffet breakfast is one of the best available. Typically Hyatt with so much variety and of a very high standard. The ambiance and the cocktails at the Ru-Co bar are a must. Will definitely be back for another stay.

My stay at the Grand Hyatt was an absolute dream. From the moment I entered the beautifully adorned lobby, I was enamored by its elegance and sophistication. The hotel's impeccable cleanliness, coupled with its luxurious facilities ensured my every need was met. Moreover, its prime location made it effortless to explore the city's attractions and dining options, while the exceptional service from the attentive and friendly staff elevated the experience to new heights. The Grand Hyatt has truly redefined luxury and hospitality for me, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay.

Highly recommended. This is now our go to hotel in Melbourne for the last 5 or so trips. Everything about the Grand Hyatt is great. From the moment you enter the lobby, until checkout - everything for us has always been fantastic. The staff are always super helpful, rooms are always clean and as expected for a 5* hotel. The bar is great for cocktails and the breakfast in the morning is one of the best I have seen around the world. Highyl recommend for a hotel in Melbourne city.

overall, hotel looks great and has provided expected services. The waiters look friendly and provided bag stored service for guests. the top floors of hotel can provide very beautiful city views. the only poor experience is showering with two split valves of cold water and hot water. The room nearby lift lobby has a bit noise from other guests walking in the corridor.

I was treating myself with this stay and it did not disappoint. The King suite with City views is well worth it! I specifically chose a room with a bath tub and was very happy with the size. I'm an average sized male and I could fit my whole body in. The gym was also very decent and a lot better than most hotel gyms.

Great location, and nice hotel for the star rating. Loved the service, the buffet breakfast, the bar area. Room wise I gave it a low rating as I could hear guests showering next to my room, as well as above us. Didn't get a good night sleep the 3 nights I was there unfortunately. Will wear ear plugs next time I stay :-).. Try to avoid room 2524.

Business trip, hotel was amazing. They have an SMS service that you can speak to the front desk. I checked-in super early to attend a conference, they texted to let me know my room was ready, I chatted with them to get bags to my room, book a massage, and store my bags the next day (I organised via SMS for the team to collect my bags from my room, check-out and charged to my card on file). Massage was super easy to organise. Couldn't believe I did it all via SMS.
