Stayed here recently and I must state the location is excellent. The property check in is actually down a small street off Flinders St. Check in was smooth and reception staff friendly. The room was a spacious 2 bd apartment on the 15 floor with...More

I'm terribly sorry you felt unsafe during your stay at our annex property, The Highlander.
In the apartment building we have a lift code that is available only to guests but activities in the street are beyond our control.
Wifi and shower.
I do not recommend this place.
You knew that already.
The shower in our apartment was appalling. Dribbly warm water. The worst shower I've had to endure since the 1990s and travelling round the worst B&B's in the UK... I was single...More

This hotel was conveniently located for our trip to Etihad Stadium. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Price was competitive. View of the city was lovely, but there was a bit of street noise on a Saturday night.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

The apartment itself was lovely & clean & was very quiet as it was a Wednesday night. It was quite spacious & comfortable & we loved the central location. We found the staff very nice & obliging.
