Stay at this hotel to be on the doorstep of Chinatown and heaps of well-priced eating spots and coffee houses just up Little Bourke Street. Booked through Accor AdvantagePlus website, value for location, big, clean room with comfortable bed. The breakfast is passable, the Cocoon Lounge is pleasant for a refreshing drink and their happy hour concept is clever to... More

This is the fourth time I have used this venue in Melbourne and the staff are consistently well trained and extremely helpful - they go out of their way. This also extends to the little coffee shop. Really comfortable rooms and cost effective. I have not experienced a bad meal in their restaurant and would recommend this to anyone. The... More

Excellent location in Melbourne CBD and very reasonable price. Staff are friendly, rooms are spotless. Dining at the hotel is not great (quite limited selection) but with so many choices just a leisurely stroll away, in almost any direction, maybe they just don't feel its important.. The bar is above average and great place to meet before heading out to... More

Spent the Saturday night in the city, and decided to give this hotel a shot. Wasn't disappointed! Rooms were very large, good view of the city, beds were comfy, and the staff were friendly. Would definitely head back again

We booked this hotel directly with Accor, and got a 40% discount. We were given a suite with king-sized bed and separate lounge. The location is very central, close to main shops, trams and restaurants. Swanston Street is very lively - the only downside of being so central is that there was a lot of noise, especially from buskers, sometimes... More

When arriving in a private car and wanting somewhere to park for a few minutes to drop our bags off we drove into the hotel car park and were told we would have to move of pay for this few minutes. At $200 a night you would think 5 minutes wouldn't hurt. This hotel was great for location when travelling with... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
