Stayed here for 5 nights with my elderly mum recently, we were in a comfy twin room, and the room is exactly as the title says. Beds were comfy, the free movies were much appreciated as mum wasn't up to hitting the night spots in the city! Lovely touches like free bubbly on arrival, nightly treats delivered to your room... Hello Jacqui, It was a pleasure hosting you and your mum during your travels here in Melbourne. We are indeed located in the heart of the CBD and is a stone's throw away from everything. If you loved Chin Chin, I'm sure you'll love similar restaurants located in Flinders Lane like Sake, Lucy Liu and Supernormal as well - another... More

Stayed here for 2 nights (Thurs and Fri) on a recent mini break with my husband. We treated ourselves to the Palatial Suite and were not disappointed. From the check-in, to the décor, to the freebies, to the service and to the little things, everything was spot on. Of course, you are on Flinders lane so do expect some night... More

Friendly staff and the room was comfortable but not luxurious. I need easy access to public transport and somewhere nice to walk in the evenings and this was a good fit for me. What i loved was the proximity to everything I wanted. Good value and would probably stay again if I had business close by.

The Adelphi has been on our bucket list for some time, and we finally stayed there this week for 3 nights. The Adelphi did not disappoint. We stayed in a Flinders King Room, which was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, complimentary snacks and soft drinks, and a bathroom with a very... More

My girlfriend and I stayed in the single twin room for one night. We loved the marshmallow beds as they are so soft and comfy. Mini bar free which consisted of bags of lollies and chips plus drinks - water and juices. Free movies too. Tastefully decorated rooms and hotel. Fantastic location. We ate at the restaurant Om Nom which... More

We spent two nights at the Adelphi and loved every minute. They allowed us to check in early, and we enjoyed welcome cocktails as well as a free dessert at Om Nom. The rooms are a great size, clean and the free snacks were greatly appreciated. When you add the treats left by your bed, Adelphi impresses.

Loved this little boutique hotel - room was gorgeous (Comfy King) and bed was great! Although felt a little claustrophobic as we looked straight out onto another building. Great location close to CBD and shops. Staff were super friendly and helpful - dropped our bags early in the morning and when we came back mid-afternoon we were greeted by name... More

A lovely place to stay in Melbourne. Convenient location and all staff are approachable, friendly and helpful. Extras in the room are appreciated and a nice special touch. It was fun to eat in Om Nom during our stay. The food, especially the desserts are great works of art - and tasty too!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
