The Adelphi is a boutique hotel providing exceptional service, rooms & location. Having a 'hatted' restaurant in its basement only adds to the breadth of amenities on offer. Too cold for the rooftop pool this visit but the rooftop terrace is a great sancutary for guests in the heart of Melbourne. Best hotel stay ever. Great staff.

Popped over to Melbourne for couple days and stayed here. Small narrow hotel entrance but nice boutique feel. Check in very relaxed, sat down in reception came over with keys, got a free welcome drink whilst bags taken up to room. Mini bar snacks and drinks included which is nice touch. Up on the roof is an interesting pool which... More

I stayed at the Adelphi for the second time, this time to celebrate my birthday! Welcome bubbles on arrival for myself and my two guests, a beautiful handwritten card from the team, a complimentary dessert in OmNom and a cute message on the mirror in our room wishing me a Happy Birthday again. The staff are all exceptional, I mostly... More

Lovely boutique hotel in the middle of Melbourne and highly reccomended. Flinders King room, overlooks Flinders Lane, good size, and trendy decor, you need the sheer curtains and blinds as you are mid city and surrounded by buildings.  Very helpful welcome and offer of a drink or coffee, this is one of the most genuine and delightful welcomes again worldwide. ... The location of Adelphi Hotel is just perfect, walking distance to any place in the center of Melbourne, lots of dining options, like the amazing Supernormal just in front of the hotel, Chin Chin 2 blocks away and a lot more. Don't expect views because most (or all) of the rooms look at the next building, but this is not... More

Summary: Excellent (and personalised) service; fantastic location; posh interior & furnishings; fun snacks, delicious eye candy. Highly recommended! My family (including my little child) stayed here for three nights, and will definitely stay again when in Melbourne. I knew something special was coming when I received an email from Ebony – to confirm my partner’s name – a few days... More

Booked a night at Adelphi Hotel for my birthday celebrations and it was perfect. Even before we arrived the lovely emails we received letting us know only 2 days to go, made us feel like we were odd to visit friends. Then when we arrived it again felt like we had arrived at a long lost friend. We were asked... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
