We stayed here for 3 nights celebrating our 40th birthdays and had a wonderful visit. The staff was phenomenally friendly and welcoming, I have to say that was by far the best check-in experience I've ever had! The vibe in the hotel, restaurant and rooms is very fun and modern while also being luxurious. The location is perfect for visiting...

Adelphi staff were excellent. Impressive entry and stylish rooms. Very central to Melbourne locations of interest and transport hubs. Highly recommend this hotel for quality, value for money, and location.

I recently had a long weekend in Melbourne with my mum and luckily stayed at the Adelphi. It was such a handy location and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful (and not in that annoying over fake way like some service staff). The rooms were funky, the free movies and minibar was a great added bonus and the restaurant...

I choose to stay at the Adelphi as often as possible when I am staying overnight in Melbourne - it gives me everything I need from comfort, amenities, service, peace but most of all it gives me a wonderful sense of intimacy - as if I'm returning to visit a dear friend. And I absolutely love the welcome drink! Managed...

From the warm welcome at reception to our departure, the Adelphi was a delightful and very comfortable stay. Our room was upgraded without extra cost, the free (non alcoholic) mini bar, minimalist but comfortable furnishings, cloud comfortable bed and huge ensuite with quality toiletries were all befitting this boutique hotel. The bar adjacent the foyer was intimate and attended by...

We stayed overnight for my husbands birthday, the room was exceptionally clean and fresh and the service was friendly and personal. There was a bit of external noise as is expected in a central location in the middle of a big city on a Saturday night. All up a very enjoyable weekend away.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
