The Adelphi has been on our bucket list for some time, and we finally stayed there this week for 3 nights. The Adelphi did not disappoint. We stayed in a Flinders King Room, which was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, complimentary snacks and soft drinks, and a bathroom with a very... More

My girlfriend and I stayed in the single twin room for one night. We loved the marshmallow beds as they are so soft and comfy. Mini bar free which consisted of bags of lollies and chips plus drinks - water and juices. Free movies too. Tastefully decorated rooms and hotel. Fantastic location. We ate at the restaurant Om Nom which... More

Adelphi hotel is located in the perfect position if theatre, shopping and dining is what you are all about. The staff were informative helpful friendly, all working together to form the amazing team that make the Adelphi so special. The rooms are spacious well equipped and the bed was like sleeping on clouds. The resturant in house is opened until... More

We spent two nights at the Adelphi and loved every minute. They allowed us to check in early, and we enjoyed welcome cocktails as well as a free dessert at Om Nom. The rooms are a great size, clean and the free snacks were greatly appreciated. When you add the treats left by your bed, Adelphi impresses.

Loved this little boutique hotel - room was gorgeous (Comfy King) and bed was great! Although felt a little claustrophobic as we looked straight out onto another building. Great location close to CBD and shops. Staff were super friendly and helpful - dropped our bags early in the morning and when we came back mid-afternoon we were greeted by name... More

A lovely place to stay in Melbourne. Convenient location and all staff are approachable, friendly and helpful. Extras in the room are appreciated and a nice special touch. It was fun to eat in Om Nom during our stay. The food, especially the desserts are great works of art - and tasty too!

We stayed four nights on level seven. Very relaxed check in and good explanation of the services and provisions. Good comfortable room, and minimalist bathroom - a bit dated now but works well. Flinders Lane is close to everything, but can be noisy sometimes.

The Adelphi is very good without being absolutely brilliant. It's in a great location tucked on the shopping end of Flinders Lane, and easy walk to bars, restaurants and shops. The lobby is small - interesting but a bit cramped. Decent coffee, complicated cocktails. The staff are lovely but not very slick. Being shown to our rooms when we were... More

My partner and I stayed at the Adelphi over a weekend city escape. Quite a spacious room with all the modern necessities and Omnom is conveniently just downstairs! Well located near lots of shops and public transport. Beds were quite comfy, room service was excellent though portions were a tad small. Parking next door was cheap and very convenient. Opt... Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
