Located right on the Mall in the centre of town at a reasonable price ticks all the boxes. The rooms are small, but were very clean. The staff were all friendly and breakfast is basic, but with...

This hotel is right in the heart of the city.Close to the major shops and interesting arcades. The rooms are neat and tidy and quite adequate for a short stay.Breakfast was included and there was ample choice. The main attraction is the hotels location.

Pros - Location is right in the middle of CBD, very friendly and helpful staff (extra credit to Damian who was kind enough to settle an issue I had with my travel agent - appreciate your help), LCD, coffee maker, fridge Cons - you have to change lift at 2nd floor (might be troublesome if you have big luggage), room...

Step out the front door and you are welcomed by the wonders of Melbourne. Cafes, patisseries and more. Follow the lanes and find the small boutiques, bistros, and cafes galore. Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
