Apartment hotel was booked accidentally. We actually wanted a conventional hotel. However we were bowled over by its most central location, its cleanliness and such well appointed rooms. Really couldn't fault it in any aspect. Walk outside and you are straight into the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. What a great city. Perfect apartment in a perfect hotel in a...

Stayed while at the Australian Open Tennis. I have stayed here many years and have found the service and welcome has always been awesome. Great location with 20 minute easy walk to Rod Laver. Citadines is also situated very close to shops, restaurants and parks.

These serviced apartments are in a great location, with a tram stop right outside! The apartments are really nice - exactly what we needed for a 5 night stay! The only down-fall is there was no sun in the outside seating area off the pool and the pool was way too chlorinated! But other than that it's a great location!

The staff at our check in were wonderful, friendly and very efficient and helpful. Our room on the 12th floor was at the rear of the building so didn't have a view to speak off, but was very clean and well fitted out. We had a Queens size bed and the only thing I found odd was the tiny amount...

We had wanted a 2 bedroom unit but it was full so we had a 1 bedroom unit with a rollaway bed in the lounge area. We were on the 10th floor with a corner unit. Not much of a view and could hear the trams at night but wasn't too big of a problem. Good sized table that could...

Having stayed here for business a couple of times, I knew what to expect and my 4 night stay didn't disappoint. The location is great, only a couple of blocks (3-5 minute walk) from Bourke St Mall, a tram stop outside, and 2km to the tennis. I had a roll out bed in the living room as I was staying...

Rated excellent for the location and amenities. Russell St and Bourke tram stop just outside the door for easy use of the free CBD tram rides through this area. QV supermarket up the road about 3 blocks for groceries. Chinatown very close with Chinese, Malayasian, Japanese foods places of varying price-points all over. Great drinking pubs ranging from real fancy...

Reception staff are super friendly and helpful. Hotel is central to most things on Melbourne's town centre. Room/apartment was spacious, clean and had a great shower! Will definately stay here again on future weekend trips away to Melbourne.

We spent three nights during late January 2017 in Melbourne, staying at the Citadines. We were in Melbourne to see the Australian Open Tennis Open. We chose the Citadines primarily because of its location combined with its price point as hotels are pretty expensive at that time of the year. We booked an executive room with a double bed. I...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
