Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when we had a minor issue with car park entry. Our room was large, and tastefully decorated - felt like home while staying in the middle of the city. Walking distance to a massive range of shopping and dining options, as Melbourne does best! We got a great rate with the... More

We stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom room, the room was clean, tidy and very homely. The views were great and the hotel was a short walk or tram ride from everything you needed in the city and Lygon street.

Spacious apartment with everything you need. Free city circle trams are at door step to provide easy access to other parts of the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet end of the city which provides quality sleep.

Good location on the free tram route, right near the Old Melbourne goal. Only negative is food prices and parking bit steep and with this many stars expected free wifi access, but room was clean and well maintained. Spacious with seperate bedroom and a balcony, bit cold in June to enjoy the balcony. In room Washing machine and dryer appreciated... More

The staff were welcoming, helpful and polite plus provided great knowledge of the area and ways to get around to the things we wanted to see. We were fortunate enough to stay is a room with a park view which was perfect... More

Nice big rooms. Friendly staff. Significantly cheaper than the other hotels offering 2 bedroom apartments. Building is a little dated Hot water in the shower is hit and miss - it would randomly go from very hot to very cold

Clean, tidy and spacious unit. Very friendly staff. Missing a mug and had a broken kettle but these were addressed immediately upon advising staff. The heating was a little hot so we had to just turn it off, otherwise we had a very pleasant stay and would stay again. Easy walking access to everything in the city, including trams, food,... More

to repeat : no pens in the rooms to fill out feedback form, outdated bathroom with broken tiles, a leaking shower head, inability to keep a constant hot water temperature whilst showering and the very long wait for hot water to come out of the shower

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
