Good location in Battery Point, close to Salamanca - nothing more positive to say Tired, dated rooms in need of a good clean Take copy of your cc upon arrival - thought I was back in Thailand as we have never experienced this in Australia. If you actually damaged anything it would only be an improvement. Staff give the impression they would rather be anywhre else, especially reception We were told staff could not service the rooms fully because of Covid measures, but were astonished when they would come in, change towels if required and empty bins, but couldnt use a vacuum, dish cloth or make a bed - and all this with no mask or gloves, but apparently Covid protocols are the reason for low service !!!! Really, people arent fools. If staff numbers because of Covid is the reason for the almost absent service, then just tell guests and they will be more understanding Dont stay at this poor establishment, many more better choices…
The room is a good size, lots of seating options and the bed was comfortable. Likewise the bathroom had lots of bench space. It is a bit dated and pretty standard, but comfortable none the less. The property staff were helpful, checkin/out was simple (including after hours checkin), and it's good value for money. The location is an easy walk to the markets and lots of restaurants, but I would recommend driving during the evening (complimentary parking onsite).
Located in historical Battery Point, our apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. We were able to walk everywhere, it is well situated. There are lots of good cafes & restaurants closeby and is also walking distance to Salamanca markets and Constitution Dock. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended
We had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at St Ives apartments at Battery Point. Extremely pleased to open the door & walk in to a beautifully clean & spacious apartment. Bed was comfy, kitchen very functional with all extra items to allow you to cook a meal if you wished to stay in. Bathroom was roomy & the shower was nice & big. Comfy chairs to relax in if you wanted to relax in front of the Tele. Plenty of cupboard space to hang clothing plus adequate areas to place your luggage. The room also had an iron & ironing board. There was a clean guest laundry provided if you needed to wash. All in all an excellent place to stay & we highly recommend you stay here. Not far away from Hobart restaurants & eateries.
Fantastic location. Walking distance to Salamanca, Hobart waterfront, Hobart City, Sandy Bay, Wrest Point and of course Battery Point. Stayed in a large, spacious, clean apartment with a small balcony. The bed was comfortable. Shower was nice and hot with good water pressure. Plenty of powerpoints. It gets cold in the room but the air conditioning and extra blankets soon helped this boy from the tropics feel comfortable. Fridge, tea and coffee and all the basic utensils in the kitchen. The room was outside the main part of the building with entry into the carpark and Wifi was intermittent to put it kindly. It was fine inside the main building area, but it was frustrating! There is a bottle shop next door for the wonderful byo restaurants in the area, and there are many! Overall, a good stay and would stay again. …
Great location for sightseeing, located in Battery Point, easy walk to Salamanca and the city. We stayed in a studio apartment for 5 nights - comfortable and clean. The apartment was airconditioned with fridge, cooktop and microwave. Plenty of pots, pans, crockery and cultery. Free parking on the premises. Room serviced daily with towel change and tea/coffee replensihed. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We visited Hobart with a family group including our 85 year Mother who has breathing difficulties and stayed in a two bedroom apartment with Balcony. Returning to our apartment at the end of the day we were overwhelmed with the smell of smoking from the apartment balcony below. This meant we were unable to open our windows or use the balcony. On reporting our disappointment to reception we were met with hostility and absolutely zero compassion. Will absolutely never stay here again or recommend to family, friends or client of our national travel business.
Situated in Battery Point, this luxurious accommodation was ideal for sightseeing at nearby Salamanca and the city. All within walking distance. An older style building on the outside but super modern and well designed inside. We had a two-story, two-bedroom self-catering apartment. Two airconditioners, larger fridge, kitchen with all crockery and cultery needs, microwave, and a spacious bathroom, separate toilet. Two TVS - one in the main bedroom and one in the lounge. ree parking on the premises. A bottle shop is attached to the building. The only downside is there are not many cafes open breakfast to dinner in the nearby streets. Salamanca is the best area for meals although the apartments have a cooktop and cooking appliances for self-catering. And, despite all other accommodation in Tasmania NOT servicing rooms during our stay, St Ives did turn up the bedsheets and supply new towls and tea/coffee supplies daily. Thank you to Tripadvisors who gave good review for this property. We trusted your opinions and booked. Highly recommended to other travellers.…
We booked a family room. Room was clean and spacious and it was serviced. Staff were friendly. Off street parking is handy but the exit is narrow. You have other alternatives to the marked exit. We had a room close to the Sandy Bay Road. I found it a little noisy at times but once I turned off the upstairs heater I slept well. (I am a light sleeper). Foxtel TV was an unexpected surprise. This room was definitely value for money. The only thing that concerned me was that the reception staff took a photo of my credit card; never seen this before.
Excellent location, clean, comfortable. This place had convenient parking and was a quick walk to the Salamanca shops, restaurants and markets. A 9/11 liquor store is at the accommodation's entry way which is a nice plus for those of us that get a little thirsty.
