We wanted a lovely room in the middle of the city and that is what we got. Love having a big shower rather than a shower over a bath. Location is perfect, close to Salamanca and centre of the city. Staff are lovely. Renovations are in progress but no real bother to us.

We stayed here for just one night when we checked in to Hobart before a 2 week self drive holiday around Tas.(which was fantastic) Large, modern , light well equipped rooms. Our panoramic windows on the corner of the building on level 7 I think looked directly up to Mount Wellington with all its moods and changing conditions. At around $170... More

This hotel is going through the final stages of a renovation in the main reception / areas. Room (apartment) on third floor (of 8) was excellent with very good appointments. Location in Collins Street fairly central - all walking distances to restaurants etc on waterfront / elsewhere. The only minor negative was the signage in Collins Street - it was... More

We've stayed at RACV at Hobart a few times in the past. It's a solid, reliable source of accommodation in the City Centre and about 10-15 minutes walk to Salamanca Place. The hotel is undergoing some renovation and at the moment guests have to take two separate lifts to get from the carpark to reception. The carpark is not good.... More

We booked a basic room and was upgraded to a premium room 0n the 8th floor which was all quality with a view across to parts of bellerive and in another direction the Tasman Bridge. Reception staff were pleasant and well informed on hobart. Parking seemed crowded and not enough for hotel of this size. I Iwould check this when... More

The apartment was comfortable, spacious and well-appointed, with good king-size bed and excellent walk-in shower. However, the hotel is undergoing renovations and this made checking in and finding our room a chaotic and exasperating experience. We came across many fellow lost guests, all equally frustrated. The hotel had little to no atmosphere. The free parking was appreciated, but the valet... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. There are extensive renovations going on in public areas at the moment but they look like they are nearing the end. Our room was modern, spacious but quite austere in design and furnishings. It had basic cooking facilities. The strangest thing was the rain shower which you needed to be less than 160cm to... More
