Staff at reception were fantastic tho I can't say the same for others, particularly the restaurant staff. Very unhelpful and unobliging. When we told our server we did not like sourdough for breakfast toast, she said they did not have any other type of bread. This was not true as the other table clearly had French toast that was not...

Dear Kyrie_vancouver, Obviously we greatly regret that the hotel and our service has left you feeling disappointed and I would like to apologise for this. Please rest assured that the service you have mentioned from the Henry’s Restaurant Team, is completely out of character and standard, as we normally pride ourselves on our flexibility with our menus and service offerings...

Stayed at the HJ Art Hotel for a quick escape to Hobart to visit MONA - could not have been easier, enabling us to soak in and enjoy the historic essence of this quaint little town. Rooms overlooking the wharf within walking distance to some of Hobart's best, close to the MONA Roma Ferry Terminal - you can't go wrong...

The Henry Jones Art Hotel customer service experience is spot on, very friendly and ever so helpful. You cannot fault the staff, only too willing to help with any request. Location - in the heartbeat of Hobart, an easy stroll to Salamanca Place, MONA ferry terminal and some of the best restaurants and bars Hobart has on offer. Tip -...

Position, position, position!! Within walking distance to all we wanted on our two night stay. Exceptionally comfortable and clean and so quiet. The meal at Henry's was one of the best. Congratulations on such high class accommodation Henry Jones, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Spent a few days here at the end of October. Warm welcoming service and spacious well fitted rooms, our spa bath was perfect! The minibar selection was very generous and the best I've seen. My only suggestion would be to update the foyer and dining room, the dark paintwork feels dated and on a wet day a little bit gloomy.

When you enter this hotel you know it is going to be a treat - really gorgeous use of the buildings natural elements with a lot of beams and exposed stone/brick. This extends into the hotel rooms where you will find a really nicely done separate shower space and a very, very comfortable feel to the room. The exposed stone,...

It's a great looking hotel in a perfect location. However what really sealed the stay was the exceptional friendliness, capable and willing staff. We have a 20 month old who suffers serious hangries, and the bar staff, desk staff and restaurant staff always said 'yes - no problem'. All realistic requests, but still it was the attention to detail and...

We stated recently at the hotel for 4 nights. The position within close walking distance to attractions and terrific restaurants is ideal. The staff were extremely helpful with suggestions for meals, bookings and access if self driving and parking was great. Rooms are well appointed with a modern twist on a warehouse conversion. Recommend highly.

I recently spent three nights and it was a delightful experience. Our room (201) was private and tucked up into the roof on the upper floor, with a pleasant rooftop view. We did think that the decor was dated in the restaurant (we had dinner there one night and breakfast each morning) and that would be our only criticism.

This was a fantastic place to stay and very unique in it's offering particularly in Hobart. Room was huge with great amenities and a relaxing bath and modern. Staff couldn't be better also. Complementary parking was also a huge plus. Excellent all round.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Australia's first dedicated art hotel stands proudly on Hobart's glorious waterfront. A handsome row of historic warehouses dating from the 1820s (the former IXL jam factory) have been creatively transformed into an enthralling multi-award winning first class hotel. The hotel itself is a work of art. Here you'll be fascinated by the unexpected combination of the antique and the ultra modern. ... more   less
