Having decided to take a short break in Hobart, we booked the self-contained apartment as I have food allergies which makes it difficult to eat out, so this seemed a good option. There are no staff on duty when you arrive so you have to let yourself in. We opened the door to the apartment to be greeted by a... More

Amberley House B & B was a short drive from the centre of Hobart, but was easily accessible and very comfortable after long days sight seeing and exploring Tasmania's capital. Room was large and provided great views from the first floor balcony and bedroom/bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and ground floor sitting room were adequate and plentiful.... More

Would highly recommend a stay here if you are travelling to Hobart. Great sized room was very homely, albeit with a cosy shower cubicle. Breakfast (included) in the dining room with other guests was a delight and both ladies hosting the mornings were very friendly and helpful! It's a little bit further out, but more than worth it if you... More

This hotel suits staying in Hobart completely, as opposed to a lot of other concrete complexes along sandy bay road. I recommend second floor spa room viewing the mountain and the hotel's sweet simple english style garden, it was quite and had a nice bathroom with a window that opened up to greenery. There was tea and coffee available downstairs... More

2 couples stayed for 3 nights in March 2016. Lovely, elegant house with great staff but needs a good clean, carpet replacement and general refurbishment. Quite skimpy on amenities, for example no face towels, few coat hangers, cheap toiletries. Why? Staff only rostered on for limited time in the morning. Good location.

Property is in a good location at Sandy Bay just south of the CBD. The staff are excellent and very attentive to guests. It is a lovely property but showing obvious signs of wear & tear. The carpet is in very poor condition and needs replacing urgently. Face washes are no longer provided and the quality of the toitel paper... More

The house itself has worn out carpets and breakfast leaves much to be desired but the location is good and when the staff are present, they are super helpful and kind. One should be prepared to walk to the Salamanca market area daily for most activities. The area where the house is located is very safe with beautiful homes further... More

Lovely clean comfortable place to stay. We had Suite 101 at the front downstairs. It is spacious and sunny opposite a very elegant communal dining room. There is a pavement garden chess set in the garden at the back. The accommodation is well located across from a convenience store and opposite the river (which you can glimpse from the room).... We stayed for the night and enjoyed the stay. It was very easy to find at night and getting in with the code was plenty easy. The room was very comfortable and the spa tub was great. In the morning breakfast was available; toast, fruit, tea and coffee. Nothing great and a bit lack luster.

Upon arrival we used the provided code to enter. Our room was upstairs with lots of space for three people. Breakfast was, as in many of the other places we stayed in and that provided food in the morning, basic but enough to get you started. The location is excellent for daytrips to Bruny Island, Mt Wellington and Tahune airwalk.
