The customer service at this Hotel was out of control good. From the moment we arrived, the service was personalised and dedicated. The team are so engaged in what they do and clearly love the Hotel. We stayed in a garden room (which I'd highly recommend!) and the view over the garden and out to Mount Wellington was spectacular. Each... More

We honestly loved everything about our stay at The Islington Hotel! On arrival we were greeted at the door and shown around the beautiful old house filled with artwork and antiques before being led to our room. No stuffy reception desk in sight and no paperwork to complete - it felt as if we were being welcomed into someone's home... More

All the positive and laudatory tributes given to the Islington are well deserved. To begin with the area of South Hobart is a quiet and lovely 20minute walk from Constitution Dock. By all means hire a car as there is ample car parking on the property but you can simply perch yourself on the property and not move as it... More

I travel a lot and am very picky about where I stay. But boy, was I ever pleased I found the Islington. This place exceeded my expectations - and then some. From the warm welcome and care from Jeremy and Emily to the banter and excellent cooking from Chefs Joe and Suzie, the team at the Islington just can't do... More

One of its best of kind in Hobart. You feel welcomed, luxurious and can enjoy great food. Morning breakfast is included and must have esp French toast. Not far from down town and secured off-street parking available during the stay.

The service and attention to detail is where this boutique hotel really stands out from the crowd. From the moment you arrive, we were greeted with a warm welcome and felt immediately at home. The hotel itself is a mix of old and new and set up to feel like a home - in a luxurious kind of way. The... More

Service was amazing!!!! The offer to do free laundry even though we said we would pay. Food at the restaurant was on point and probably the best in Tasmania. Made us feel welcomed from a long trip from America. Breakfast was included and they offer eggs Benedict with lox and other stunning dishes to start the day. One of the... More

A very small lodge with outstanding service and attractive common areas. The rooms were well planned and comfortable. The breakfast and dinners were delicious. Best was the staff's warmth and interest in our well being.

My husband and I went for 2 nights for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was such a lovely, cosy boutique hotel and the staff went out of their way to help. There were 3 areas with open fires which was so relaxing. Food was delicious especially the dinner. Can't wait to go back.
