Always great to be able to stay near the water, so the location is a winner. 4 star, not 5 star accommodation, but a good set up for a couple with all amenities you need and close to some really good restaurants. Clean and tidy. Service very good and excellent value for money compared to some other places near the water. Loft bedroom gets warm so keep the fan on to circulate the air and the door open to the balcony, if you have one

On Friday the 26th of November we had another stay at Somerset on the Pier, being our choice of hotels when we visit Hobart. Once again, the room was immaculately clean, the bed was so comfortable that we both slept like logs and the views as always were amazing. We must say, that Jess, once again, went well and truly beyond her call of duty and even left a special surprise in our room for us. It is always a pleasure to arrive and find her smiley face and genuinely friendly recognition of us once again. We look forward to another trip from our home on the East Coast of Tassie and staying at Somerset on the Pier and we will make the effort to stay more often due to the amazing service!! Thanks Jess! You are amazing and an absolute credit to the hotel!

I love the location of these apartments, as a starting point to walking absolutely anywhere in Hobart. The view towards the mountain, overlooking Brooke Street Pier, is beautiful. It was a little noisy at times, both from adjoining rooms and general traffic on the pier. The one room apartment is a great space, very open and light.

Had high hopes for this one, which were dashed quickly by the fact the room smelled like an old toilet. I tried to avoid being in the room, it stank so much. Room was stuffy and really outdated. The coldest night in Hobart and the heater sounded like a tractor. Big comfortable beds and slept well and there was a washing machine and dryer but for what I paid, it just wasn't worth the money. Wouldn't stay here again and really wouldn't recommend people stay. Find somewhere else, if you can. Surely there are better places in Hobart.

Great Location on the waterfront. Well set up for a serviced apartment. Kitchen facilities very good. Close to everything. 5 minute walk to Salamanca Markets, & Fresh Food Store, lots of restaurants and bars around and very central to most tour pick ups. Short walk to the centre of Hobart. Staff are mostly very friendly and helpful once you have stayed for a few days, not so much on arrival. Our 2 bedroom Premier Family apartment the furniture was not adequate. 3 adults staying, 1 x 2 seater couch and 2 chairs for 1 very tatty dilapidated dining table. Furnishings are all needing to be replaced, room was not very clean however the next morning after asking for the room to be cleaned a bit better it was. This part was a little disappointing however we would stay here again.
