Very comfortable beds, large airy rooms, large bathrooms (generally). View of the harbour from some. Lovely ambience in this old Manor. Leanne the bookings manager does a great job of keeping everyone happy and keeping the rooms clean and serviced efficiently. Although its not Bed and Breakfast this really is no problem, there are a good number of quality cafes... More

We loved our stay here - all seven of us in three rooms. Beds were very comfortable, the views of the river lovely and the rooms quite roomy. Some of the decor was a bit on the boring side, but the location near the village of Battery Point was great. Easy to walk to the cafes nearby and to Salamanca.... More

Spacious rooms, amazing views (ask for room 5 with all the windows!), and great location (5mn walk to the Salamanca place). Only reason this isn't getting a 5/5 is because of a stupid dog that barked for 2 hours (from 10pm to midnight) at the bottom of our bedroom window with no one doing anything about it (which I believe... While on a recent vacation in Tasmania my wife and I stayed at the Battery Point Manor and it was a very pleasant experience. But it was not the B&B that I expected, I was looking forward to one of those nice old B7B were you can sit and enjoy a cooked breakfast with other guests but when we arrived... More

We stayed at Battery Point Manor over two separate periods during Christmas 2015. Our first stay was in an upstairs room and I would highly recommend that. It was very spacious and well appointed. Our second stay was downstairs in the garden room which is smaller and doesn't have as much natural light. The manor itself is in, I believe,... More

As many others have mentioned if you are looking for the typical B&B experience with a warm and fuzzy welcoming owner, breakfast etc keep looking. However if you are just looking for a nice place to stay at a reasonable price in good location and are ok with those things missing then it's a really nice place. We had room... More

If you want a 5 star luxury hotel then this is definitely not the place to go. That being said, it also isn't the worst place to go. Downsides: it looks run down from the outside (I mean it WAS built in 1834!) and does lack a few aspects. There is no breakfast service/café or restaurant attached this building either.... More

We spent 4 nights during the wooden boat festival. Owners are quite nice but room was shabby. Door stopper was broken my husband had to tape it down the bath tap was missing and beds weren't made properly every day specially when we had to pay $350 a night.

Quiet location, large room, we had room 4, close to all the action. Beautiful historic precinct, good on site parking. Handy to quality cafés for breakfast and classy eating and drinking for night time quiet meals. If you like historic places and areas with good proximity to everything this is hard to beat. Very peaceful location in good neighbourhood. The... More
