Its run by a little french lady Evyline, who also runs her own mine, great tips, advice and a very pleasant attitude, surprisingly in such a harsh environment. Decent accommodation, budget and families, worth stopping in, she gives great directions when most things appear confusing. the shellis good for food but pricy, still good food though We stopped in there...

I decided to make a stopover in Coober Pedy on my way from Adelaide to Alice Springs. That was the right decision! Coober Pedy is a unique place! Most of the population live under ground and you don't see so much if you walk through the town. That is the reason why it might be scared to walk through the...

First time staying underground. An interesting experience. The reception was welcoming and very helpful. Room felt old, but was clean. No reception in room (you are underground) but just bear that in mind.

We were looking forward to staying here, having stayed in the excellent underground motel in White Cliffs a few years ago. Although I had booked previously and the hotel had alll my details, including home address, we were greeted by a man who lectured us like school children and insisted that we fill out his form, showing both our names,...

We booked this motel for 2 nights as the reviews sounded good. How wrong could I be, the other reviewers must have been in another room than ours. We had 2 sets of bunk beds & a double bed. A cupboard that allowed for short hanging items, certainly not adult clothes. A table & 2 chairs, there were 3 of us...

Cool place for a night or two and really helpful staff. We only stayed for one night, but underground rooms were pretty cool. We stayed in the 21 bed dorm called the "dungeon" the only negative I can see about the dorms is that they don't have doors and it is all very open. Even the 4 bed dorms only...

I love the place. The depth of the hostel bunks, the bathrooms, the bar, pool table, kitchen and TV lounge. Planned on one day and stayed two. The staff is great and helpful. Make sure you see the free sites and feed the kangaroos.

Booked as a quick stopover on my way back to Sydney from Ayres Rock. As I was travelling by motorcycle I wanted something on a budget but would be cool to let me escape the heat. I booked a double without bathroom. The room was quiet, dark, cool and comfortable. I had a super nights kip and awoke ready to...

Used to be a regular at Radeka's 30 years ago - and not much has changed - it's basic accommodation - either in shared backpacker rooms or single "motel" type rooms. Being 30 years older, we chose the "motel" room - it was a newer one so opened to carpark so had one brick wall so sort of lost some...

I am traveling around Australia for 2 months and came to Coober Pedy. Seeking a "Kool" place to stay for the night; I selected Radeka Downunder Motel.....I am from the US so wanted my own toilet, shower, and connecting Bedroom......they offered all of the above at a reasonable rate. Clean, comfortable, and "KOOL".....especially when it was 40C outside that day....
