our room was very small with a window looking out at a brick wall there was a great big stain on the carpet that you couldn't not notice.we went for the football so the hotel was very convenient to the ground

The hotel does not have the greatest views (no views on side and view of North Terrace in front) and the layout is slightly eccentric, reflecting the 19th Century origins of the property. But the location is superb, and with a free upgrade the value was very good. The tram was slightly noisy but on the whole it was quite quiet given its proximity to a main road. Room service was prompt and very good value for money.

Spent 4 nights main reason for stay was to attend AFL game at Adelaide Oval which is only a short walk from Hotel. Hotel is ideally located for short stay in Adelaide. Opposite Adelaide casino / railway station. Situated close to shops restaurants. Hotel is adequate rooms reasonable bathroom appears to have been updated in recent times? Overall hotel is looking a little tired. Room aircon/heater is an issue the temperature control is centrally controlled so you cannot change temperature you can only adjust fan speed. I had to ask for a portable fan as the room was very stuffy even tho it was winter time during stay. Overall I would stay again if I was to visit Adelaide again.

And nothing is better, than not having to drive back home after a footy game. Our hotel is 99 years old and you can definitely tell the age of this old girl. We are currently in the process of discussing changes to be made this year. Unfortunately, we have a centralised air-conditioning system at the hotel, due to which we do not have individual temperature controls in the room. I sincerely hope the staff was able to resolve the issue for you. Room was dark and a little out dated, room service was slow and food cold by the time it arrived, then they forgot to bill me for it, then charge me for my room after work had already done so. Failed to answer their phones several times when I tried to contact them and didn’t return any of my calls. Looking elsewhere next time.
