I stayed at the Adelaide Riviera Hotel in January 2022. Upon walking in to reception, I was greeted by a lovely receptionist who ensured it was a very friendly and professional check in. She ensured I knew where my room was, the facilities that were on offer and welcomed me to Adelaide. The room I had was on the 4th floor with a view of the city and a nice small balcony to enjoy the view. The room was very clean and well laid out. The hotel is very well located being near one of the tram stops and a short walk to the centre of the city I would certainly recommend the RIviera Hotel to anyone visiting Adelaide.

Dear natD178IE, 40,000 happy customers stay at the Adelaide Riviera hotel each year. I am still attempting to have this review removed as it does not reflect actual events but unfortunately TripAdvisor believe that even people that fabricate stories are entitled to leave reviews. I'm not sure who you are or what you have against our property, but please have a safe and happy New Year.

Good location near to the tram stop with a pretty big (about 20 square m including bath) and clean, though dated (mid 1990's looking) room. Bed was comfortable. En-suite bathroom with adequate facilities and hot water in the shower was perfect. Reception staff were friendly, however please note that besides Friday and Saturday night reception only opens from 6:30am - 11:30pm. Coffee and tea in room and even some shortbread biscuits was a nice touch. Decent sized, if slightly noisy fridge. Price is very reasonable at about $80 per night. Room I stayed in was an inside room which had a window but functionally it was like a skylight and there was little natural light. Also the soundproofing of the rooms wasn't great could quite easily hear the next door rooms tv, conversation and even hear people washing their hands lol. Overall though at this price I can't really complain, it is clean, with a decent sized room so is good value for money and excellent if you can ask for an outside facing room at this price. Would be especially convenient for people visiting Royal Adelaide Hospital which is literally across the road, or visiting the Uni of SA - West Campus or Uni of Adelaide which are very close as well.

I stayed at this hotel on recent trip to Adelaide for 4 nights. the staff were lovely and the hotel was easy to find. the room and bed was comfortable. Within walking distance of the railway station and city Centre. the only problem i had was a lack of soundproofing in the room which means you could hear everything that was going on in the street escipally the music from the nearby venues nearby came into room. Overall a great place to stay with a nice view and balcony

We had a trip to the hospital so decided to book as close as possible and have a nice sleep before the early appointment, unfortunately that was a mistake. When we walked in we thought someone had parked a tractor in the bathroom but that turned out just to be the AC (I have a video of you need it) then once you got used to the lovely V8 purring the concerto of a also heavily aged fridge chimed in although sporadic it really added to the ambience. It was fantastic (sarcasm) trying to sleep in 35’c (AC had to be turned off due to the V8 affecting my REM) then every time you almost fell into an Amazon jungle sweat infused slumber the fridge would jump in with its marvellous whine and make sure that there wasn’t going to be any counting sheep for us. When we thought we were helping the hotel receptionist in the morning explaining the difficulty the look we were given was one of “Ive heard it a thousand times” and you could tell her reply was well versed of “we will have maintenance look at it at some point “ All in all it was a heavy disappointment no matter the price point, one thing you hope to be able to do no matter the cost is sleep in hotel accomodation.
