While the location is good, the gym is well equipped and the buffet breakfast is great, that’s about all there is nice to say about this Hotel. The rooms are average at best and the shower, or what passed as one, was the worst I have ever been in, barely a trickle. The more you look at just how old some areas of the hotel are, pool area bathrooms for example, the more you wonder how this is up to Hilton standards and worthy of the price. Much better options in Adelaide, won’t be back.

Dear adamo920, I appreciate you taking the time to pass on your comments regarding your experience at the hotel. I am pleased that you found the location of the hotel suitable and you enjoyed our newly built gym on the pool deck however I was concerned that you were disappointed with the standard of the guest rooms. Due to the age of the hotel we do have a rolling renovation program in place to ensure we keep up to date. Over the last couple of years we have completed some large renovation projects such as the Bar, Lobby Lounge, Restaurant, gymnasium and Boardroom and some further projects are about to commence to the guest areas. I apologise that on this occasion it wasn't to the standard that you were expecting. I do hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you back again in the future to enjoy the upgrades yet to come. Yours sincerely, Rupert Hallam General Manager Hilton Adelaide

We picked up a hire car from the airport and drove to the hotel, just 15 minutes away. Valet service very helpful (Aus $45 per night well worth it), just give them 30 minutes notice when you need your car and Concierge will get it back for you. Chinatown a short walk away - we ate at Tasty East - lovely fresh food, spoilt for restaurant choices near by! If you like steak, Gaucho’s (Argentinian) on Gouger St is a must. Around Aus 50 per head is superb. Maria who serves drinks at the bar has been there for 37 yrs and a delight to chat to and have a laugh with, and works faster than the younger ones!

It’s been over 7 years since I’ve stayed at the Hilton in Adelaide. I enjoyed this return trip and the service from all staff was the highlight and it was as good as I remember it from my last. We stayed in a lower cost standard room which had very comfortable beds. If you’re expecting a modern knock your socks off modern room, choose a different type of room from the hotel. The bathroom is definitely due for a refresh. We still had a nice view from the 5th floor and enjoyed our stay. Room service roof was nice and the buffet breakfast was great. Really good stay but next time I think I’ll book a better room.

Dear 3chriso, I am delighted that you returned to Hilton Adelaide after 7 years and I am pleased that the service was as good as you remembered. We do have a few different levels of accommodation and I apologise that you found the bathroom dated in this room type. We are in the process of some improvements which will be carried out over time to improve the guest areas. I look forward to welcoming you back in the future. We have stayed in many Hilton properties worldwide and this one has to be a real favorite due to personnel. Very helpful and pleasant. We had a king deluxe room, upgraded from regular king as we are honors members. Free WiFi. Breakfast buffet is wonderful. Not only are there many choices to please everyone but food was excellent. We also had turn down service and used the hotel laundry a lot. Spent 5 nights here. Plus great location - across the street from the free tram and within easy walking distance from many sights if one does not choose to take the tram. Hotel is next door to the central market. The hotel concierge recommended a winery tour that we were very pleased with. Lastly housekeeping was great, all items refilled, very clean, done very speedily.

Dear Arizona Traveler2, I am delighted that Hilton Adelaide is one of your favourite Hilton properties. We do have a great team and I am so pleased that they were helpful during your stay. I am also pleased that you enjoyed your upgrade and the other benefits you received for being a Hilton Honors member. We are very fortunate to have the tram stop opposite the hotel which enables you to easily move around the city or out to the beach and I am glad that you were able to get out and explore what South Australia has to offer. I hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you back again soon. Yours sincerely, Rupert Hallam General Manager Hilton Adelaide
