From the moment our little plane landed, until we left 6 days later, it was a superb and magical holiday. Thank you to Greg and his delightful staff for making our visit truly memorable. I am not sure whether I believe Greg when he reluctantly announced that we had drunk all the champagne, requiring a 'mercy' flight to replenish supplies.... More

My wife and I stayed 4 nights on Lizard Island in mid Sept'16. We stayed in Anchor Bay Suite no 34. The room was fantastic, with plenty of space, a large bathroom, and good storage area. The verandah was a highlight with the day bed and chairs looking out onto the magnificent ocean. We couldn't take our eyes off the... More

Snorkeling at the clam garden is top notch! Just like the food, service, and everything else about Lizard Island! The staff bends over backwards to make sure you're happy. Enjoyed taking a dinghy and picnic hamper to a private beach one day. Stayed in a beach view room - accommodations were still very plush!

Thanks NMTraveler2468 for your wonderful review and agree that the clam garden is a fantastic stretch of colourful corals and aquatic life and just a few snorkel breath's off the main Resort beach. Thank you too for your positive comments regarding our suites and of course about our staff - we try to make every guest's stay comfortable and fun!... More

From take off from Cairns to Lizard Island we had a wonderful experience. Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout and our Plunge Pool Villa was beautiful, airy and relaxing with a great view over the bushland and Sunset Beach (which was very easy to access and felt almost like our own private beach). Meals partnered with matching wines were of... More

We stayed in an Anchor Bay Suite and it is one of the finest rooms I have stayed - sleek, cool, elegant and with absolutely everything we could want. We did some of the walks, a glass bottom boat trip over the giant clam garden in the next bay, snorkelled off the beach just outside our room which was very... More

Wow Myrtle, there are daily flights and you are welcome back anytime! To be able to 'roll out' of your room onto the wonderful beach is a real plus and never... More

Stayed here for six days. The beach and property are wonderful. Hike to Cook's Look is fun. If you stay here, be sure to dinghy over to Watson's bay. This is the best snorkeling, better than the half day trip and better than the turtle trip. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is well prepared and fresh but there... More

Thank you GS396 for your favourable comments and pleasing to read that you packed a lot of the individual activities in. We stayed 4 nights on the island. We had the room with the plunge pool - nice bit we rarely used it. Everything is pretty much new and the staff were fantastic. Gorgeous location near outstanding reef diving. Beautiful accommodations with knowledgeable staff and delicious dining. This is the Great Barrier Reef at its best. It's a long haul but worth every minute of travel.

Lizard Island Resort is pricey but worth it, in my opinion. We spent over 2 weeks in Australia, but the primary impetus for our visit (from the U.S.) was the Great Barrier Reef, so we wanted to make the most of our 3 days there. The pictures you see online don't do the rooms justice since they're primarily decorated in... More
