We originally contacted Kingfisher bay resort 2 years ago about having our wedding with them. From that day they have been nothing short of amazing. Over the weekend we had our dreams came true & we finally got married. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the staff made us feel like the most important person the island. The sunset beach was used for our ceremony and the beautiful pink sunset was definitely worth it. If you are thinking of a beach wedding with stunning photos I 100% recommend using kingfisher bay resort. Thankyou to Nikki Harmer & the team at Fraser for making our dreams come true.

Hotel's Favorite
The resort is perfectly located and even if you didn't have a 4WD you could stay here for a weekend and enjoy the proximity to the beach, the sunsets over the jetty, forest walks and everything the resort has to offer. We loved our time at Kingfisher and congratulate them on adapting to covid regulations and keeping on going

My partner and I spent two nights at Kingfisher Bay as a quick break from work. The entire experience ran smoothly, and we hope to return very soon. We parked at River Heads and checked in for the ferry. The staff member at the mainland check in helped us to book tours and activities for our stay, of which we were very appreciative. My partner had recently hurt this back, and the staff member went out of her way to check which activities would be suitable for him. We spent the first evening enjoying a couple of platters at the sunset bar. The platters were $25 each, and we felt they were quite good value. On Day 2 we did the Fraser Island Beauty Spots tour, with the affable and informative tour guide, Martin. His local knowledge was a wonderful addition to a beautiful tour. That night we enjoyed the spa in our room, as we were weary from the 4WD trip. On the day we checked out, we visited the information centre, then enjoyed a lovely lunch in Sand and Wood restaurant, which was surprisingly good value, given that everything has to come in via ferry. We felt that the food options on the island were not overpriced, although we had expected them to be. We look forward to visiting Kingfisher Bay again in future.
