Had a fabulous holiday and seamless transfer of luggage from mainland to your villa. Serenity of the place was beyond belief and the resort blends so well with its natural surrounds. Only negative was the dinner buffet at Maheno restaurant. Makes Sizzler look five star in comparison, was a joke and completely unappealing. The only nice part of it was... More

Excellent staff and restful resort. As stated I felt staff were under paid for the fantastic job they do. More lighting in the rooms needed and a little more dusting and wiping down of mirrors behind the door would be great. Other wise very happy with our stay. Would certainly recommend it to others.

We enjoyed three nights in a hotel room with a verandah facing into native bushland, very nice for sitting and relaxing with a drink. The tracks to the beach through native plants (many of which were flowering) had good signs about some of the plants, and a seat next to a very pleasant lagoon, at which we saw azure kingfisher... Great spot to get away from it all! Our first room was dark and cold with no sunlight at this time of year. Staff were happy to upgrade us to lagoon view room. Much better:) Great sunsets from Jetty Hut & good meals at Sand Bar. Enjoyed the cocktail happy hour. Loved doing self guided walks. Look out for wildlife... More

A perfect mini break. Great accomodation and dining facilities. We went on a whale watching tour and a beauty spot tour. I thought they were a bit too expensive before I went. But they were worth every cent.

We stayed here after camping and 4wd around the island for 4nights previously. We'd chosen to stay our last night here for my partners birthday. I watched someone get checked in, it all looked good and awaited my turn. I got checked in by someone else - and it was like a completely different check in. She went through where... More

We stayed on Fraser Island specifically for the 4WD. Kingfisher Bay was a great base to all the beautiful places to see. It was a little more expensive than we expected however the staff were wonderful and very informative. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kingfisher Bay.

Everything was very well organised from booking to transfers and check in. Hotel rooms could do with minor updates but very comfortable on the whole. Resort is set out well with a good variety of restaurants with different price points. Activities great. Lovely walks and the beauty spots tour is a must.

Extensive grounds, comfortable rooms designed with own patio overlooking bill-a-bong. Excellent driver - Martin - with knowledge and humour on Beauty Spot tour. Great service starting from ferry ride over to the island and well trained staff everywhere. Enjoy wilderness walks alone or in guided groups. Unbelievable sunsets with drinks and nibbles on the beach.
