For the money paid, the rooms, service and food on offer was terrible. Food needs to have simple options too, very suprised Sandbar didn't have anything simple to order, cheeseburger? Nachos? Ordered a pizza and the staff left it sitting in the kitchen for almost half an hour and not even a sorry or 'we will make you a fresh...

What a lovely place! We had the best stay! Such pleasant bar staff, doing some killer cocktails, entertaining and so welcoming, with an extra bonus being an out of this world sunset! Can't wait to return!

After a day driving our rented 4WD around the island, to have an ac equipped room with a warm shower was just what the doctor ordered. Highly recommend staying at the hotel. Great stay at the Kingfisher Bay Resort!

If you are interested in booking an air conditioned villa, make sure you ask for a villa that DOESN'T have an 'Air Con Off' system installed as this system turns the air con off after 15 minutes if no movement is detected. So you may be reading a book or watching TV and because it doesn't detect movement it turns...

Friendly and efficient staff, comfortable accommodation and some great food options made our stay enjoyable. Fairly short but interesting walks north and south from the resort helped us to appreciate the area. The ferry trip across and back to River Heads added interest to the stay.

An excellent & unique Aussie adventure to a world heritage sand island and a quick side trip from Brisbane. 2 to 3 full days is plenty as an 'eco experience' in a nice resort. F&B is a little pricey but it is an island after all. We brought some wine from the mainland for rooms (mini fridge in room). Loved...

Came here to de-stress, and did that for sure. As a 20+ year old eco resort, I think it needs a little update. The definition of "eco" has changed quite a bit in the past 20 years. I would recommend the addition of solar panels and/or wind turbines (i.e. renewable energy sources), for example, which might allow some of the...

I stayed here with my parents in December 2016, upon arrival we were served by Nathan at reception for check in who informed us that it was his 3rd day and maybe a little slow, with a queue behind us and the queue we just wanted to get on with our check in. Firstly he couldn't find our room and...
