Perfect position to stay on The Strand. Close to all the cafes. Very friendly and helpful staff. Sue was lovely. Had a front room overlooking the Strand with a lovely view. Enjoyed the pool and spa. Would definately recommend and will visit again.

We stayed at the Waters Edge for 2 nights 26-28 October. The hotel was easy to find and the free parking very secure. The hotel is in a lovely position on The Strand and we immediately felt at home after a very warm welcome from Sue and her husband (the management team) Sue gave us a lovely spacious room with...

Hotel is basic but in good position and clean. Is self contained with small kitchen which is a bonus! Unfortunately when I went there they had problems with airconditioning. With the location of hotel on the strand sleeping with the window open was very very noisy and uncomfortable.

The Waters Edge is well situated on the Strand being close to food outlets which offer eat in or take away food outlets. As rooms have kitchenettes it is handy having a supermarket within walking distance as well. We had a seaview room with a balcony that was small but had a wonderful view over looking the Strand beach front...

Stayed here just for the one night and was pretty happy with what we got. We arrived late so the reception was closed but a info pack and the key were waiting for us. Parking is under the hotel is vast and is accessed via a swipe key so again no dramas. The corridors to the rooms look a bit...

Service was excellent. Every time towels was changed, everyday room was cleaned. As soon as tea, coffee, sugars finished staff filled up,,,bathroom good quality product like...

Comfortable bed. Airconditioned. Quiet. Neat, clean room. Kitchenette included. Small but adequate balcony looking out to pool. Good value. Near cafes and Seaview Hotel, but not noisy. Great spot on the Strand, perfectly good place to spend the night in Townsville.

Booked a studio room. The plus is its small kitchen. The down side is tv in very awkward position to view. Tiny bathroom and the balcony overlooks back yards that resemble dumps. Very dark room. It was clean but at $120 a night I expect better. The drunks in the pool did not help either. Not recommended
