We celebrated our honeymoon with QT Gold Coast. We were greated with a bottle of bubbles and chocolate coated strawberries which was a beautiful start. The weather was unfortunate however managed a few sunny days. The pool is next level amazing. Loved it. Area very quiet and cabanas not being used however we were told to pay for them or move off them. They were wet and mouldy anyway from rain so bit shocked to be told $50. Staff are so nice and helpful. Food at Bazaar was great. Too much to eat so we cancelled the buffet half way through stay. Japanese restaurant. WOW! A highlight of our trip. Was a bit upset a few mornings to be woken early by jack hammering and not being told about it. But eased the next week. The pillows are far too big and hard but bed was so comfy. Housekeeping was great and come daily. The option of no housekeeping and getting a credit was good too as some days we didn't require it and received $10 food and beverage voucher. No parking included. $20 per day. All over a great stay. Would stay again as it was nice and central walking but out of the busy areas. No gym or inside pool, spa or sauna which was a shame.…
QT excels at creating a genuine sense of a getaway experience. It is more than just a hotel room - the service, atmosphere and general inclusions are second to none. QT Gold Coast is one of our favourite locations of this hotel brand (and we've stayed at a lot of them). So often you go to a hotel and they take several hundred dollars per night for a shoebox and leave you to it. That's not the case with QT. From a welcome drink on arrival, to little notes peppered throughout the room, or just the interactions with staff in passing - you'll feel cared about, not just a wallet. We did the Lovers Package this time and it was nothing short of incredible - the perfect couples getaway. Breakfast in bed, a scavenger hunt within the beautiful suite and a couples massage were all included in a rate that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Thanks for reminding us exactly why we love this brand and for making it evident that standards have not slipped.…
Check in was great, the receptionist discovered it was my wife's birthday and upgraded our room and threw in an amazing breakfast. Thankyou for that. Room and hotel both refurbised, clean and with modern decor. Incredible view of the beach, close to town and 100m to the beach. Price was very decent for such a great property. To nit pik a little, it was impossible to brush our teeth or wash our face due to a bench above the sink. The pillows were way to big, we resorted to the chair cushion which wasn't ideal. Overall, well worth it and we will be back for sure.
As emailed to Dominic I am awaiting a refund on breast for 2 which was never honoured and the lady at the breakfast counter was a extremely rude. I am awaiting a refund which has not come through as yet. We were assured breakfast service would begin at 6 which was not the case we were told off at the breakfast time that it will not be served until 6.30, we had to leave hungry as we had to depart at 6.30 for Brisbane
Cannot justify the cost spent for the room. Mattress is quite soft. Would be nice to have a couch in the room. Fairly disrupted sleep throughout the night due to noises from the street although we were on the 21st floor.
The rooms themselves are extremely average and outdated. Not at all impressive. For the amount of money paid, i was expecting a much more extravagant room. Bed was also not the most comfortable. However, the hotel facilities are great and the buffet restaurant is exceptional.
For as many things that were positive, there were an an equal amount of disappointments. Upon arrival our room was already prepared however the first reception staff were not able to answer what I thought were simple questions regarding our booked package. In the room, it looked exactly as advertised. Fun, bold, well appointed but missing any evidence of our booked package. Sadly we didn't need to look to hard to see a lax attention to cleanliness. Visible hair on the lounge and floor rugs in both lounge and bedroom, floors were scummy, grime around shower screens and tiled areas and rubbish left in bedsides and under the bed... Not to mention a past guests pair of pants left on the window sill. In contrast, toilets, bath and basins were sparkling. Back to our package, the added inclusions we expected to find in our 'ready' room were nowhere to be seen. New visit to reception for clarification... Very apologetic and accommodating and generally very pleasant to deal with (I am led to believe it was Jade who was very helpful). Some of the package (wine and dessert) coming straight away and the balance (another bubbly, strawberries and a scavenger hunt) to be setup the following day during a spa trip. While SpaQ was sensational and enough cannot be said to how professional and amazing this experience was (incl steam room) but unfortunately the planned inclusions to our package still had not occurred. Another trip to reception re organised these for later in the evening. Communication and timing seemed to be a common element in things not running to plan, and while we loved the relaxed nature of QT, it let them down in so many areas. Some inclusions ended up coming hours earlier than expected (which you would think should be positive, but timing was awkward 😉). The famed scavenger hunt finally happened but turned out to be a non event and wondered why it was ever included... All in all we had a great time away, the disappointments could be easily fixed with better communication and staff actually knowing their own offers (our package was QT direct, not booking agency), cleaners taking a bit more time when prepping rooms for new guests. Resort and location brilliant, rooms and layout spectacular, SpaQ and Stingray Lounge definite hits... however Bazaar seemed to be staffed by a 3rd party (rude). As many positives as negatives and while I would like to go back and enjoy the pool deck, which was not possible this trip due to the weather, I'm not confident these same concerns would be any different next time... Depends on staff and managements willingness to listen and enact change. QT GC could be brilliant but their are others who do it so much better...…
My wife is celebrating a significant Birthday so decided to bring her to the QT Gold Coast and I'm so glad that I did. We arrived to be greeted by Anna and Akira (hope that I spelt that right) and were immediately made feel at home. We were given some vouchers for welcome drinks and all the information that we needed to access all of the great amenities that this great hotel has to offer. The King Suite that we booked for our for our stay is incredibly spacious with fantastic views of the beach and surrounds. The suite has a separate lounge area including 3 seat lounge, 2 seat dining table, bar and a large flat screen tv. The separate bedroom has a very comfortable king bed with an adjoining on-suite which includes double sinks, shower and a huge bath. The bedroom also has a large bay window with seat so you can curl up, catch some sun and read a book. The food at the QT Gold Coast from room service to the extensive buffet at Bazaar is amazing. We're so looking forward to our next dining experience at the QT. A special thanks to Rory, Shaun and their front office team for going that extra mile to make my wife's birthday one to remember (if she can). Would highly recommend the QT Gold Coast to anyone wishing celebrate a special occasion or just to getaway for a while and relax in style.…
Very clean and spacious room. Pillows very high and were uncomfortable to sleep on - had to use a blanket as a make-shift low pillow. Great location and close to all amenities and public transport. Staff were amazing and friendly.
The hotel is fantastic, the rooms are very well appointed and most of the personnel is really nice. The one thing that partially spoiled my experience is that one morning I arrived at the restaurant exactly 3 minutes before opening time and they made me wait outside . I asked to be allowed sit inside while waiting (because I have back problems and stay standing hurts) but the lady at the door of the restaurant would not come to reason, did not allow me to sit and made me stand at the door. What a waste of a joyful experience for just one inconsiderate and impolite person.
