The Criterion offered a bed, off street parking and a meal in the pub next door. The accommodation is clean but somewhat dated. The meal next door was exactly what you'd expect from a pub feed, a good steak and plenty of it. The stand out for us was the eclectic little restaurant for breakfast, part of the old pub...

This really is a lovely hotel on the banks of the mighty Fitzroy. Very Old and well used but a fantastic place to visit especially on the weekend when a band is playing. It is not "first class" and does pretend to be it is just a grand old hotel with a friendly atmosphere. I'm going to stay here again...

Food was that nice we went back for a second night whilst we were in Rockhampton for work this week. The meals were well priced and plenty of it on our plates. No need for dessert as we were all full after meal. The meals came out relatively quick lay and most importantly they all came out together. The atmosphere...

She may be aging. She may have her faults. But there is no hiding the fact that this grand old hotel still has charm, class and a welcoming warmth. Supported by staff that act more like her family and close friends, this Grand Dame is a fine base from which to explore the Rockhampton region. Whilst not all staff members...

We stayed four nights in a first-floor triple hotel room with mod cons (fridge, t.v., aircon. and a fresh new ensuite) and experienced the charm of antique decor and 'olde-world' courtesy. "The Cri" is in a good position: beside the river, close to city centre, buses and shops. The current road-works improving the area around the impressive heritage buildings along the...

We found this place while we walked around the river and we spent a good time. It was on Thursday afternoon and excitement was good. Not to much noise which give you the chance of hang out with your friends. The only downside was the scheme they have for ordering in the restaurant, you have to line up close to...

Hey Mauricio thanks for the kind words the line up does get a bit much on the busy days and nights we find it helps keep our staff numbers down thus keeping the prices of the meals at a reasonable price. Thanks again see you next time. Cheers Ryan Turnbull

I ordered fish and chips which was full of flavour. Friends had steak which was cooked just how they had asked for it. Great customer service. Would recommend to families, couples or groups. I will be returning to the Criterion soon.

We are pleased we chose the Criterion Motel. We did not realise that the Council work going on would make it quite tricky getting to the property. When all the Council work is completed, it will be terrific. We finally managed to park the car. By this time, the heat was quite intense so we were very happy to find...
