Rockhampton is lovely and full of hidden gems. Centrepoint is a bit dated ( haven’t seen a built in clock radio that crackles in years), the tiles were broken in the bathroom and the hot water was warm. The corridor lights were on all night and this made it difficult to sleep as the curtain linings had holes in them and let in the light. So room was in semi darkness. Not good when having to drive in the morning. On the plus side the breakfast was good.

We happened upon this motel after accessing the McDonalds nearby. It was perfect for an overnight stay travelling north a week ago and then south last night. Our downstairs room (requested) was clean and roomy. The bathroom was huge. We needed to be careful of the tiny step down as it could be a hazard for people with mobility issues. There is an abundance of liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner etc in a dispenser on the wall. I prefer soap but it was not an issue. There were spare pillows and blankets in the wardrobe. We were close to the front and there was some road noise but I couldn't hear it later in the evening. I was able to reverse into the parking spot outside our room to keep an eye on our belongings in the ute. The pool was lovely and inviting for the kids. The continental breakfast was a great inclusion in the fee with a variety of cereals, porridge, fruits, yogurts, juices and toast, as well as tea, coffee, milo, and hot chocolate. The internet was hard to connect to but my son solved this by going outside and connecting then coming back inside. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you are looking for luxury go and find an expensive hotel. If you are looking for a bargain stay here. This motel is within walking distance of a Mexican restaurant, McDonalds, Hungry Jacks, Pizza Capers, Fish and Chips, Noodle Bar, kebabs and Thai. There was also a pharmacy nearby. They have their own restaurant which is open most nights (but not all). We would definitely stay again. Great value for money and lovely Qld hospitality.

This is a typical motel which was clean throughout and has a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee facilities. Everything was ok other than a noisy sliding door at night that woke us both up when either went to the toilet. The down side is it is right on the 57 highway and the road traffic noise is very present all the time so just be aware of that and ask for a room right at the back. Inclusive continental breakfast is a nice touch,

I was quite disappointed with our stay at this motel - although it was cheap and I guess you get what you pay for. Pool was closed in 30deg heat, window had no screen, curtains had holes in them and room was so small the door nearly hit it when you entered. The mattress was so low on the bed that we both hit our elbows and heads on the bedside table getting in and out of the bed. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Table was not even set at breakfast and at no point did a staff member greet me good morning or ask if we were ok. Really, really, average.

Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Had a quick stop over in Rockhampton on route from Brisbane to Townsville. Had everything you need for a 1 night stop, pool was lovely and continental breakfast had a variety of cereals and toasts however if you don’t drink milk then bring your own alternative!
