We were so glad that we chose Shantara resort for our first stay in Port Douglas.. It was clean, quiet and so relaxing. It is an excellent place to stay as a couple to chill out. Shantara is in an excellent position. It is a short walk to main street for coffee and evening meals. Short walk to marina to...

Loved that there were no kids, the no kids under 16 was adhered to and was appreciated. Pool was clean and good location. Would stay there again. Self catering made the trip affordable, we didn't use the BBQ equipment but plenty did when we were there.

Four days are not enough to fully benefit from this classy apartment complex perfectly located in this excellent resort which is a class ahead of nearby Cairns (1 hour to the south) Swimming with sharks and turtles on a trip to the Low Isles on the Great Barrier Reef is an out -of-this-world experience not to be missed.

My husband and I stayed at Shantara from Sept 20th - Sept 23rd and had a wonderful stay. The one bedroom apartment was nice and spacious with an awesome balcony (where we had breakfast and mimosas every morning). There is a full kitchen so we just went to Cole's market in town for some groceries. The resort has two pools...

Located close to everything including beach, shops, restaurants and coles. Quiet relaxed atmosphere and love that it was childfree! Book a room with a pool deck or you may find there are not enough pool lounges around the pool.

We have just returned from our 3 week holiday touring Australian and this is where we stayed for our last 4 nights just to relax before we came home. This complex had been suggested by our travel agent. We normally don't do self catering and prefer hotels but it turned out to be a great choice, adults only, which was...

We have just returned from a four night peaceful stay during school holidays at Shantara. The position of Shantara is perfect to walk to the Main Street, Marina and the beach, you will not need a car if you are just there to relax. First time staying at a adults only resort and don't think there's any going back! Sitting...

I stayed a week over New Years with my mother and really had a wonderful stay. With the cricket test on TV, a cheeky cosmopolitan in hand and the pool just steps from the door it was the most relaxing, blissful experience I've had in a long time. The BBQ area is brilliant and the staff where so pleasant to...

Port Douglas is my favourite place and Shantara the perfect place to stay for couples. The pool access rooms are what it's all about, where after a bit of sight seeing you can really relax. After writing this i am now just itching to return to this paradise on earth.
