I stayed 5 nights in the Coral Beach Lodge and If I could I'd have been stayed longer!! The hostel look very new as the owner rebuilt everything, it was very clean and the staff was very nice and caring. A lot of places to chill out, a free pool / billiards, ping pong table. Also, after 10PM it's very... More

Had booked at Coral Beach Lodge for 3 nights, which we extended for another one. The stay was comfortable with their amenities and the best was their kitchen, large and more than you can expect. The place has a hostel set up, but fulfills every need which a hotel provides. The lodge certainly needs to improve on house keeping, on... More

I stayed with my daughter (15) five nights. I was pleased about the mix of people ages. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a twin room with plenty of space. A ten minute walk to the beach, marina or shops. It can be noisy at night - it's a hostel - so don't forget your ear plugs. Everything... More

After helping us with planning accommodation for two groups of our family, nearly a year in advance, the front desk staff ensured we all had an unforgettable time in Port Douglas once we were there. They arranged Outer Reef snorkelling and Daintree zip wiring, as well as letting us know the best local spots for food and, well, whatever we... More

Relaxed, clean, casual, friendly. We had a family room for five - travelling with two young kids and an uncle. Loads of covered communal spaces with comfy chairs, sofas, hammocks and tables. Wifi, table tennis, pool table, kitchen is large and well stocked with plates and cooking equipment (although no oven), swimming pool open 24 hrs, and the owners have... More

I've stayed in a few backpackers in my time. Coral Beach Lodge is certainly a little cut above the others. Offering a four bedroom dorm with its own ensuite bathroom is a great layout idea (other dorm configurations are available depending on how much you wish to pay).. I'll never forget locking myself out of one backpackers one night as... More

Having travelled up from cairns, after staying in a more lively hostel, it was lovely to stay for a few days in the stunning port Douglas in a more calmer hostel. In fact I would probably call it a hotel! We were greeted by Tom who was lovely and was always making sure we were OK, taking an interest in... More

Best hostel I stayed at so far. Friendly and helpful staff; clean; all groups of ages. Good kitchen, tv room and nice outdoor seats to relax and have a chat to others. You got your own locker in your room and a Mudd free bathroom ! Will definitely come back !

Staff was extremely helpful prior to booking and recommended a fantastic GBR tour and airport transfer company. As I would be arriving late and the front desk keeps business hours, my key was waiting when I arrived. The room was clean, the AC works well, the bed is comfortable, and there are large cabinets to lock up belongings (even in... More
