I fly up to Cairns once a month for business, and always stay at Villa Vaucluse. The rooms are always clean and neat - nothing too flash - but ideal for anyone needing quiet, central and private accommodation. The longer I stay, the less I pay. Internet is fast and the managers are always friendly and accommodating. If you want... More

Be aware there is a construction site next door, we were Not aware of this on booking, however, location Is good, approx 5 mins from Town Centre on foot. Relatively quiet despite Massive crane!! Clean tidy functional and a great no thrills option. Be warned, or thrilled, there is a quirk to the bathroom facility's, ie a window looks from... More

When booking we opted for a low cost budget apartment in a reasonable location, did not anticipate a building site next door though. Like many reviewers we were not so much welcomed into the Apartment as"inducted" by the on site resident manager into the many flaws to avoid, security, Air Conditioning problems at 25deg C, Open Door Policy for making... Stayed here for five nights. First impression from outside it looked a tired block. When we got in the room this first impression carried on. Several points of issue. 1: couldnt open the curtains as the sun hit the window from midday onwards. (Air con couldnt cope with the heat. 2: bathroom was shabby, chipped counter, a piece of wood... This is a relatively small complex of apartments with a garden/courtyard in the middle giving a feeling of space as you walk in. It is only about a 5 minute walk to the esplanade, yet despite the central location it is quiet and calm. The apartment was comfortable, clean and the "elephant" towel arrangement on the bed was well worth... More

We booked a 3 night stay. Started with a phone call from the gruff manager at 4.30pm asking why we weren't there at 2pm for checkin. Great start to weekend away. Get there and he tells us there are Tubs of 2nd hand margarine in the fridge from previous guests, help yourself. The manager shows us to our room. Upon... More

We had a small, comfortable apartment overlooking the pool. The space was fine for 2 people and the kitchen adequately equipped. The pool's lovely! As with many Australian establishments my main complaint is that there are no recycling facilities. We are used to sorting our waste for recycling but ended up throwing it in the landfill bin which really upsets... More

Excellent apartment. Well appointed with a very comfortable bed and lounge furniture. Kitchenette has a microwave, cooktop, crockery and cutlery, some pots and pans. A super clean apartment, kitchen and bathroom. The apartment has a large washing machine and dryer. There is a quiet pool area that has a lovely garden. My husband and I recently stayed at the charming Villa Vaucluse for 3 nights in June 2016, and it was absolutely perfect! We had a spacious air-conditioned apartment with fully equipped kitchen, as well as a washer and dryer. We had a small balcony with a pleasant view of swimming pool, tropical plants, etc. Very restful. And this property is... More
