Detailed Reviews
Average 3 star apartment, very basic.
Pros - clean and in convenient location to James St Precinct and the river
Cons - hard beds, dark, tired, dreary, hot.
No ambience or atmosphere.
The 2 bedrooms had no windows or outlook and the whole apartment was dark, however we were on level 2, higher levels might be better.

Dear X6587JMalexr, Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments and feedback. All feedback that we receive whether it be positive or negative helps us look at areas of improvement, so that we can ensure that we are offering the best possible service and apartments to our guests. I was pleased to read that you enjoyed our wonderful location, and the apartment was clean, but certainly disappointed that you felt the rest of the apartment was not as you expected. All our Apartments in Atrio pending the configuration and location are all very different in lay out. I am disappointed that didn’t like the layout of the apartment you stated in. I also appreciate your comments about the bed and the ambience and as you can see from below, we are certainly working towards some changes. The Business has recently changed hands in February and with the New Owners & Management Team will be working hard with the individual unit owners to bring the level of the apartments up to a new high standard which will include a full audit of each apartment. You can be assured that there will be changes and updates in all apartments over the coming months. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback and comments and I do hope that we can welcome you back to the Atrio Apartments again soon. Kind Regards Craig Whye General Manager

Spent two nights there, Friday and Saturday. At this price, you would expect at least a coffeemaker, if not a Nespresso or similar then a pot or plunger, or a teapot. None of the above. I checked with another group and their apartment did not have one either...The apartment was large, view was as good as you could expect in that location, qpartments at the back fairly quiet except the usual drunks in the lane at midnight (not the place's fault). Cleanliness was below average - lipstick remaining on the first glass I picked up. Design and build are pretty average too: who forgets to put a power point on each side of the bed so that both sides have a reading lamp? In ours, only one lamp was able to connect to a power source and we do not travel with our own extension cord. Attention to detail makes the difference in the top end of the market; even though this is cheaper than a big city hotel, it's not by much... Free parking when you book direct was a plus. And they put the $200 deposit on someone else's credit card, we discovered as we checked out. Ww will not be returning.

Staff friendly, informative, and helpful.
I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment. Oven, back splash, cupboards need attention, as does the bathroom, particularly the toilet. One Teatowell is insufficient for a weeks stay. Cooking oil, Kitchen Roll, and a box of tissues would be a benefit.

Hi Miriam, Thanks for taking the time to say hi. I'm disappointed to hear of such shortfalls and am sorry to hear via an online channel of such items. It would have been great to be able to supply you with extra supplies via reception, such as extra teatowels and indeed an increased supply of tissues which are provided in the bathroom area. We don't unfortunately supply different volumes of in-room items depending on length of stay, but are more than happy to provide extra's to those who need. I'm delighted to hear that our team was helpful and only wish that this could have translated to a request to help with these items and we would be only too happy to have done so. Unfortunately however, we provide only single use supplies, so cooking oil isn't something that will be included in the unit for the same reason that water jugs are provided clean and empty and ice trays the same. I trust the remainder of your stay was enjoyable and I'd be delighted if you might give me a call next time that you're in need of accommodation and I'd be delighted to help.

Atrio Apartments has a convenient location for cafes, restaurants and public transport, and it's nice that parking is included when booking directly with the property. The staff are friendly and pleasant to deal with, but the apartments themselves are disappointing.
The building acts like an echo chamber so if there is any noise during the night, you will hear it. There were several things in the apartment in need of maintenance, the most annoying being the fridge and air conditioner which were very noisy. The beds and sofa were uncomfortable, there was a bad smell in the living area, and lots of small cockroaches.

Dear StevePER, Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments and feedback. All feedback that we receive whether it be positive or negative helps us look at areas of improvement, so that we can ensure that we are offering the best possible service and apartments to our guests. I was pleased to read that you enjoyed our wonderful location and secure undercover parking, but certainly disappointed that you felt the apartments were disappointing. Atrio open Air Atrium throughout the middle of the building does provide beautiful natural light and open air but unfortunately noise sometimes does travel. I will be sure to pass your comments on to our housekeeping & maintenance team regarding the concerns that you raised to ensure they are addresses immediately. Great place to stay. We were attending a matinee at the Lyric Theatre and Atrio was a much better and cheaper option than staying in town. Just a short walk from Fortitude Valley train station and the city cat ferry at Howard Smith Wharves. Pig and Whistle pub just across the road, plus two coffee shops. Will definitely stay again.

Atrio apartments was great! I was surprised to find I had a full size apartment including kitchen and laundry facilities and even car parking and wifi was free as I'd booked direct.
I was provided with clear instructions to pickup my keys and get comfortable as I was arriving very late and had no trouble at all following the instructions and getting in.
They even text me the next morning to make sure I was comfortable and got in okay.
Location is brilliant with ease of access to the city and James St only a couple of mins walk in one direction and after work drinks at Howard smith wharves only a couple of minutes in the other!
Staff were very obliging and the unit was very clean and tidy. I don't think I've found better value here in Brisbane!

I stayed with two teens for four nights in July 2021.
Atrio is a pretty easy place to stay. Quick check in (next door) and really no contact with anyone from that point until checkout time (again quick and easy).
The apartments are fairly basic and fairly cheaply put together. They are usefully furnished with everything you need for a short stay. There are some maintenance issues creeping in, and some poor misses such as flat batteries in TV controllers etc.
Noise levels are actually very good for the location, and it was very possible to get a good night's sleep.
Some issues with housekeeping on check in , with the washing machine full of dirty dishes (including broken glass), the washing machine still loaded with towels from the last guests and some fast food packaging in the courtyard. This wasn't a huge deal for us, but I mentioned it at check out, with a very fair response from management.
Overall, a good apartment at a decent price in a good location. I'd stay again.

Fast checkin through the Miro Apartment front desk next door. Close to many eateries, walking distance (10 minutes accounting for traffic lights) from the train station. Close walk to ferry terminal. Very comfy bed and pillows and the room was spotless. A very welcome balcony meant we had a safe view of the thunderstorm. Great stay! Thankyou.

Apartment was a good size, balcony was nice and on initial inspection seemed to be in a good location. We found out when the weekend arrived that sleep was not guaranteed as the noise outside of the apartments was horrendous. Screaming, shouting, laughing, music playing and sirens going on a regular basis kept us from getting a good sleep. We could also hear music playing most of the day on the Sunday. As we were in Brisbane for my husband to participate in a sporting event it wasn't a great experience. A real shame as there is absolutely nothing wrong with the apartment itself.

Service was horrible, calling me early hours in the morning, shower barely worked, toilet clogged, horrible beds, all horrible. You're better off sleeping on the gutter. Get better service, and better beds/water system.

No. They have a very strict no party policy outlined in the apartment rules. They will fine and then evict residents for offenses. There is a security guard on duty on the weekends.
Sorry, not sure about long stay rates - suggest you call them.
The construction should be all but over then. If you have your balcony door closed you will hardly notice it and there is no construction noise in the evening. Everything else you should find very comfortable and clean.
