These apartments are well located, close to Roma Street Station (we arrived by train) and an easy 10-minute walk to Queen Street Mall and Treasury Casino. The entrance to Kurilpa (pedestrian) Bridge to Southbank is literally across the road. There’s a Woolworths Metro at the end of the street and cafes within easy reach. Our one-bedroom apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. It wasn’t clear to us, through the booking and checking-in process, that these were unserviced apartments, but that seemed to be the gist of what the housekeeping staff with limited English were telling us. However, they did provide clean towels upon request. Our main criticism lies with the elevators - only two to service the whole building, resulting in frequent long waits. We have stayed with Evolution numerous times in the past, but on my last experience it will be the last. The room was disgustingly dirty, from a condom wrapper under the bed, mould on the shower screen, dust on the bedside tables and brown marks on the walls. The front door lock only worked when I slammed the door and there was discarded furniture in the hallway outside my room. Front of house couldn’t care less, no one asked how it was or if we enjoyed ourselves. Very disappointed in my stay,

Excellent location close to the river and walking distance to Queen street. Perfect for a two day lay over before we return home. The facilities were all clean and working. No restaurant available but a metro Woolworths is just around the corner and plenty of cafes during the day. A little pricey but still comfortable.

I had a studio apartment on the 4th floor. It was very compact but had every thing Supplied. Eg microwave, plates etc. It was situated above a busy road facing the river. So it had great views and I could hear the traffic but not enough to bother me too much. The only thing I didn’t like much was having to walk through the car park to get to the studio and it smelt like rubbish. I got this place at a great price but I wouldn’t pay alot to stay here. I bit further from the CBD than I like. But close to Roma train station.

Room was absolutely filthy!! Rang reception after check in, to which I was told to email pics through, no change of rooms offered or cleaner sent. Receptionist wasn't phased. Poo on toilet seat, food on floor, sink blocked, washing machine filthy and half full of water upon arrival, rubbish under bed, lint balling and all over walls and hanging from ceiling sprinklers, hand prints all over the fridge, glass table and stove top greasy, the list goes on! Was having medical procedure done, so hygiene was of importance!! Email was sent on 07/07, no communication still 11/07, so I rang Front Office Manager. Confirmed she had received my emails, but didn't not make contact. Said she will talk to cleaning staff, and only offer a discount if I stay again.. why would I? Said due to third party booking my accommodation - medical unit - she is unable to do anything about the previous booking cost? Not good enough!! Definitely do not recommend!…

After reading some bad reviews, we were hesitant to stay here but it was very affordable and close to Qpac for a show . The views from the apartment were awesome . We had a 180 degree view up and down the river . It was spectacular in the night . The apartment was clean , spacious with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms . The bedroom windows look directly into the building wall located next door which wasn’t an issue as you’re only sleeping in there and when the blinds are closed is very private . The balcony and lounge room had uninterrupted views and full privacy . The kitchen was well equipped and there was free wifi , foxtel & Netflix etc … It is well situated to Southbank , Queen st Mall , Suncorp stadium.. all within short walking distance. Parking is onsite ( $40 overnight ) which is standard for the city . We would definitely stay here again . …

We stayed in apartment 204 Negatives: Apartment was dirty, stains on the furniture, walls, mould in the bathroom, shower felt dirty to stand in. Toilet brush looked about 20 Years old. Musty rubbish smell in apartment and hallways Extremely noisy, not good for light sleepers Light in bathroom very dim, hard to see in there Air con vents filthy $40 a night extra for parking Positives: View is amazing of the river Gym and pool excellent Lady at check in was lovely This could be a lovely hotel if the issues were rectified in the apartments, absolutely not 4 star. Won't return.

My one bedroom apartment for one night included a $200 security deposit, taken from my account and not returned a week later. Their policy states it may take up to 14 days to return the deposit! The apartment was ok, but no electric jug. I would have had to stand on a chair to reach glasses and cups on a high shelf. The ads show beautiful views from apartments, but my 4th floor windows were just meters from a freeway. Staff less than friendly on my arrival too.

Dear Maryhandweaver, Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments and feedback. I can confirm that as stated we do require a $200 Pre Auth/Bond on arrival for All Guests. We have this advertised on all 3rd party websites to avoid any surprises on arrival and that it could take 7 – 14 days for the bank to release the funds. The Pre-Auth is not a charge but a holding amount only. Thank you for letting us know about the missing kettle, my apologies however the team is here 24/7 to addresses any of these issue that may arise. As you booked a Studio Apartment, these are located on level 2 - 4 as advertised and access is via the car park. If you were looking for city or river views you would have been required to book a 1- or 2-Bedroom Apartment. Dragging our suitcases up stair to reception while the motel were doing Reno's was even ok .the views were amazing. There was hair on the bathroom floor which is a big turn off for me. Washing machine had water in it. Dryer looked like it had food stuck inside. Shower was not too bad seems it was 35 degrees. I don't think I will be staying here again. Staff were lovely

Bit of trouble getting in as lot of work going on in ground floor got here at 12.3 can not check in till 3pm room on floor 15 what a lovely view and we have 2 bedrooms the apartment is lovely and clean has everything you need washing dryer dishwasher m/wave oven all very clean a lovely balcony big one looking on to river and big wheel we would stay here again no worries love it don’t let the bad reviews put you off we took the chance and glad we did thank you to all the staff forgot to say very nice pool level 6 and sun beds 🛌
