Really helpful staff, a little bit of an older building (slightly run down) but I enjoyed my stay and felt comfortable and enjoyed the facilities. Lots of places to eat near by - the local pub is great

Stayed in this hostel and didn't wanted to leave because it just feels like family. Lot's of french, german and in general european people but everyone is nice and friendly =) If your open minded and easy going that's the perfect place for you. Was also working during my stay and had no problems falling asleep =)

I stumbled across this Hostel as it was the best priced in Brisbane ~ with a killer location. And ended up really loving the place. Had a real share house feel to it, but enough privacy if you needed it. Other reviews sounds Harsh as this Hostel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful if they tried! Would definately... This is a cheap place to stay in Fortitude Valley we moved out of another local backpackers that was just too noisy int he nightclub area and found Bluetongue to be cheaper and better. Plus free wifi! Parked our car up as well for free which was good. Probably need a new stove though and kitchen is ok but could... More

The Blue Tongue or how to finish my Australian year perfectly in a house called "home" with absolutely AMAZING, WARM and FRIENDLY people i will never forget. I have never felt that good in a hostel and it's thanks to the guys who live there, the cosy rooms always clean and the awesome managers. If you'll go there, you will... More

Pretty nice if you're looking for a hostel. A bit cheaper than other hostels in Brisbane but it's probably because of its location, a 15mins walk to the city center. It has a nice feeling to it, it's kinda small but has a nice common area so it feels like you're living in a big sharehouse. The manager is really... More

We've spent a very good time here, it's a small hostel with friendly people, very well located, close to the CBD and Fortitude Valley. Thanks to friends we've met, we've found work quickly and stayed 1 month. It's an old house and can be noisy sometimes but the atmosphere is convivial and common rooms are clean. The staff is very... We stayed at this hostel for 5 nights and although the location is great (10 minute walk to train station and short walk to New Farm shops) the actual hostel itself is not worth staying in, unless you plan to be up all night that is. Every night we were at this hostel people were shouting, running up and down... More

The hostel in generell is not so bad. Very close to the story bridge. BUT the french receptionist woman was so rude to me, because I she said that I forget to pay. At the end, she made the mistake, but no "I am sorry". Very dissapointing!!! Brisbane in generell is a nice town in QLD with a nice party... More

Short version: my boyfriend and I flew to Brisbane and arrived to the hostel at around 1.30am and the place is just terrible, the room they gave us was filthy, death bugs everywhere, cigarette filters in the room, so we went to reception and asked for another room, they gave us another one and was exactly the same sh%&$t. Impossible... More
