Comfortable beds great size room. Bathtub shower was very difficult to use with mobility problems and oldies. Plenty of places to eat close by. Queen St for shopping close by as well. Wonderful view. We were warned about construction noises from cross river rail. We didn't hear anything. It was great.

We stayed in a balcony apartment. It was very spacious & well equipped. Don’t bother to pay extra for a balcony because the outlook is looking at high rise buildings. Also be aware there is no separate shower & it is very difficult to get in & out of the bath with no handles to help. The bath is also very slippery to get out of. The apartment is very central & within walking distance to everything in the CBD.

On the 12th September 2023 I checked in at 8pm, left to grab dinner, came back to the room, realised the shocking condition, and checked out by 10pm. It ruined my stay in Brisbane and caused me a lot of stress and inconvenience finding a new hotel at 10pm. I was surprised by the lack of customer service from the reception staff when asked for the check-out showing absolutely no interest or care for the reasons why. It seems this happens to them on a daily basis with other hotel guests, so it didn’t come as a surprise. The room was in a filthy and unhygienic condition with dirty browned bedsheets and black hair all over it, stained carpets, stained curtains, stained sofa, damaged furniture, a full trash bin, not working bedside table lamp, dirty kitchen cupboards, mold & scum in the bathroom, and an overall bad smell. The list could go on.. I was appalled by the poor quality and the lack of hygiene at this Mantra on Mary, as it is in the Brisbane CBD and part of the Accor group which is a real shame. Upon check out I only got a refund for 1 night, instead of 2 that I booked due to their "refund policy. At this time I was too tired to argue and just wanted to check into my new hotel and rest. I am a frequent traveler, and have never come across something like this before. Please be warned and stay away from this "hotel"…

I booked a comfortable and expensive Executive room and accordingly paid a higher price for it, but instead I was placed in a completely different, cheaper room. And at the reception, they continued to brazenly lie that it was the same number that I ordered. Why fool people like that, because everyone who books a room in advance sees its on the website and pays for it accordingly.

I can only comment on my room... Disgusting, privately owned but run by mantra, should not be rented out again until they replace all of the carpet and dining suite. Carpets were so stained and dirty I was s ared to remove my shoes

Location is good but room was dull and didn’t have many windows or any good views. Parking was $85 for two nights. I saw it had a sauna, pool and gym which is good. They could make the furnishing a little better to spice up an otherwise boring room with no windows or views.

Great location and walking distance to South Bank & CBD. Comfortable room with most facilities including cooking and washing. Very comfortable. Only downside, the pool had no privacy and a small sauna. Staff were great.

Check in was efficient and quick. The room on first inspection was clean and fresh. More crockery and serving plates etc. here than the last place we stayed and they boasted 5 stars. Although short on cutlery, only two spoons and two forks included in the mix of assorted knives and kitchen utensils. Bed was comfy, clean and cosy. We were in a one bedroom unit on the 8th floor. There was a small Study/baby room to the side with open kitchen/lounge/dining area and an all in 1 toilet/shower/bath/laundry room. Great for couples but probably would not recommend for families with children older than baby or toddler age it could be very squishy and intimate. Neighbour noise was minimal, with occasional coming and going but not distracting. Phone wasn't working in our room and we had to call direct to the hotel desk from an outside line to inform them. They said they would get it fixed however was still not working when we checked out 2 days later. We had issues getting the internet TV working then realising we weren't given a password at check in. Then could not get the mirroring to work from our phones so could not get any Netflix or subscribed channels to work. As we could not ring the desk to get help we gave up on watching TV during our stay. Restaurants and bars are all within walking distance and there is are great Asian Hot Pot places just next door which were amazing. Short stroll to the malls during the day made it great for shopping and only a 20 minute walk over the bridge to South Bank for some cultural entertainment and great pubs and grassed places to just relax. Bathroom/laundry room was adequate although the shower soap dispenser ran out on our last day so luckily we had some supplies of our own. I think it's great that the bathroom has soap dispensers instead of small tubes of shampoo/conditioner/soaps etc. Much less waste. Good one Mantra. Overall a great affordable place to stay in the city, all amenities catered for, nothing overly flash just good basic accommodation in a great location. …
