We had planned and paid for a 2 week stay, after only 4 days we had to urgently fly home (Tassie), due to family illness. The owners here were so helpful, allowing us to store our caravan with power connected, to keep fridges running, and work out the cost on our return. Returning after 10 days, we were amazed at... We arrived without a booking but were offered the choice of several different spaces. The powered sites were reasonably roomy, the toilets and showers clean. As with so many Australian camp sites there were no recycling facilities so we carried everything we could recycle with us when we left the site. As Europeans we are used to recycling and find... We were lucky to get two adjoining powered sites at short notice on our recent visit to FNQ. The staff were friendly, amenities were clean, and the swimming pools absolutely fabulous. The caravan park is right on the beautiful beach which is great for walks.

Excellent place to stay and relax. A true gateway to the Daintree and to tour the rainforests of North Queensland. The 1935 train carriages are a must. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Plenty of room to go for that evening stroll along the beach or just enjoy a quiet drink on the platform.

Absolutely the BEST place we stayed in a 5 week trip through Tropical North Queensland. We stayed in one of the Train Carriages which was restored with complete authenticity, and was spacious and delightful. Also very well-equipped. The park itself has beautiful grounds and lovely trees, all very well-kept. The amenities for campers are terrific, good clean camp kitchen and... More

We stayed in the train carriage and it was well worth it for the little extra than an average cabin. A real novelty for the teenagers. Very clean all mod cons and the deck was huge for hanging out. It was better than a resort as it was unique and felt quite luxurious.

We thoroughly enjoyed going to Pinnacle Village Resort, and it continues to be one of our favourite destinations. It is an unpretentious resort. The cabins are tastefully done, furnished well and are clean, with good privacy and distance between each cabin. The park is carefully set out with "noisy areas" kept carefully away from sleeping areas. The park is right... More

This is a largish caravan park situated just north of Wonga Beach at the start of the Daintree. It is a good spot to base yourself to explore the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. It is about 20kms north of Mossman where you can do all of your shopping. The Park itself is well shaded and has good sized powered sites.... More

Pinnacle Village is a great park! It is right on the beach and although the water and beach was a bit murky from recent rains, it would be a lovely spot to walk. We used this park as a base to travel up to the Daintree and Cape Trib. It is located only 5 minutes from the ferry and 20... More
