Stayed 2 nights. Accommodation was excellent and very well maintained. Breakfasts were just ok and they need to add more variety to the buffet selection. Some of the servers whose first language is not English caused a few hiccups with meal ordering. The schedule for tours that you are given during your stay is quite hectic and doesn't leave a... Longitude 131 was for us the final destination in a trip to the Kimberley. It was a wonderful way to finish - the knowledge that all food and drink has been paid for in advance adds to the pleasure. The food was wonderful, the wine list was amazing, and the service was excellent. We also enjoyed the cocktails and nibbles... More

From start to finish, the whole experience at Longitude 131 was perfect. The staff was flawless, the location and accommodations were exquisite and the food was amazing. They had fantastic tours and evening experiences, and the best part for me was the community of guests that stay there we ended up making great friends with some people we met there.... More

This is truly a unique hotel in the middle of a dry and arid oasis. Built with a view from every building of the famed Ayer's Rock, this hotel is a boutique residence like no other. From arrival, each and every staff know you by name and prepare all your meals and drinks according to your tastes. Food is delicious... More

I am not even sure where to start here. From arrival to departure you are treated like superstars. Being spoken to by your name. Nothing too much trouble (from menu changes or helping us find a voting place or booking a helicopter ride ). We drove from Melbourne and they collected us from Sails in the Desert hotel. Canapes and... More

Everyone here was absolutely wonderful. The staff were excellent and looked after my whole family superbly. The food was delicious but was quite deconstructed, but that didn't change my view on the food it was still great. The view of Uluru was amazing from the rooms. The rooms were always clean and serviced twice a day! The 'dinner under the... More

It's not often that worlds fail me but Longitude 131 was a special place for so many reasons The small number of lodges themselves were exceptionally comfortable and had all amenities required and some you wouldn't even have thought of - hot water bottles in the bed and late night drinks on the bed. The staff were exceptional and seemed... More

Stayed for 2 nights with the family last weekend. Qantas conspired to make us 6 hours late which meant a compressed period of time for sightseeing etc. Oh and it was pouring with rain and cold when we arrived! Notwithstanding, staff went out of their way to ensure we had the best time. Guides were great, food sensational and everything... More

We stayed at Longitude 131 for three days and two nights. It was an experience that none of us will forget for a long time. The staff and tour guides were excellent. We enjoyed beautiful settings and unique experiences from the moment we were picked up. Our view from tent 4 was outstanding with views directly out at Uluru. We... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Longitude 131° offers immersion in the Australian outback, a true sense of stillness and beauty in this desert landscape, rich in cultural heritage and history. Explore the World Heritage listed wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta and discover some of the ancient creation stories of the Anangu, the land's traditional custodians. Spend time exploring the diverse flora and fauna of the desert and come face to face with this irresistible land with the lodge's personally guided adventures. In the spirit of the original pioneers, stay in canopied pavilions that seem to float over the rust-red dunes. Luxuriously contemporised, today's explorers are cosseted from the elements in surrounds that favour refined comfort over ostentation. Classic furnishings meld with indigenous textures to evoke a sanctuary of earthy elegance. A private glass wall yields unparalleled views of Uluru (Ayers Rock). Exceptional cuisine celebrates a fusion of modern and local flavours. Enjoy an outback sundowner at the convivial open bar in the Dune House and dine under a glittering canopy of stars at Table 131°. Quieten to the night sounds of the desert and be mesmerised by the movement and songs of an ancient culture by firelight. Timeless and enriching, Longitude 131° promises a transcendent connection with this spirited land. ... more   less
