Camping certainly doesn’t come more glamorous nor the view from the ‘tent’ more spectacular than this. At Longitude 131°, a gathering of luxury pavilions overlooking Uluru, the vibe is intimate and civilised. The desert base fans out from the cool sanctuary of the Dune House, site of lounging, cocktails and Rock gazing. Dine on contemporary cuisine infused with indigenous flavours overlooking the nation’s spiritual heart or under a glittering canopy of stars at Table 131°. In the spirit of the original pioneers, relax after a day’s exploring in a tent recreated for today's traveller with a swag of mod cons. The comforts of the lodge are offset by discovery of the World Heritage listed wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta, explored on a series of signature guided encounters. Longitude 131° is a place to really feel that the most desirable luxuries of today are infinite time, endless space and the sweet sound of silence.

This place is amazing from the minute you arrive you are taken care of. The best analogy is if you have ever flown first class then this is the best comparison all the other accommodation establishment in Uluru are business or economy class. Everything is taken care of for you and is highly personalised to suit your requirements. It is an all inclusive resort where your accommodation, food, personalised tours are all taken care of and included in your tariff. The food is superb 3 courses for lunch 4 courses for dinner, however, the most enjoyable part of dinning for us was the portions were not large so you could appreciate all the courses without filling up. Premium beverages are included my favourite the Louis Rodiere champagne but cocktails, mock tails, wines beers all included. The tours were fantastic personalised, with experienced guides that accompanied you to the experience. We loved our room, amazing local artworks, comfy beds, luxurious amenities and a mini bar loaded with premium wines, beverages, French champagne, more Louis, and snacks just in case you get hungry. Your room is serviced twice a day along with your mini bar. The staff are all incredible, highly trained and anticipate your every need, there are 53 staff to 30 guests with 10 of those staff being chefs, it was high end fine dining cuisine. Our only disappointment we stayed 3 nights and 4 would be perfect as the tours do take up some time but everything is up to you to do as much or little as you like.

This was everything we hoped for in a luxury resort - plus so much more. From the moment we walked through the arrivals gate at Ayers Rock Airport, the quality of care, the thoughtfulness of staff and the highest quality of all we could need was evident! Longitude 131 staff members were all brilliant in their levels of professionalism and attentiveness. The food was of the highest quality - the nights at Table 131 under the stars were simply the best experiences one could have. The wine was thoughtfully matched, the sizes were perfect and the combinations of flavours and textures were amazing!! Each of the tour guides were knowledgable and passionate about the culture, the significance and the history of the amazing, special Uluru and Kata Tjuta !! Apart from having the best view possible - i.e. an uninterrupted view of Uluru from our pillow - the room was so comfortable and everything imaginable was there for us! including a swag rolled out for us to sleep under the stars (with the choice of 3 accompanied night caps !!). I could go on and on ... final words of advice are "do it"!!! it is worth every cent!! Thanks for a memorable experience, Longitude 131 !!

As an Australian living in Asia for over 25 years I have been very luck to have some exotic holiday experiences around the world. It was with some doubt and hesitation we booked 3 days at Longitude 131 back in my home country. In short, the experience was absolutely excellent! Brilliant service, creative tours, great rooms, excellent food, generous quality bar. It takes a lot to impress this seasoned traveler and, we were both very impressed. The simple touches like lighting a fire on your balcony of a night with your swag set up so you could lie with a glass or two of port and watch the stars or, sunset cocktails at Uluru. The tour was well considered, service was excellent, food was amazing - thoroughly recommend this experience!

We spent two nights here and loved the hotel, the staff and the food. Everyone was so nice and everything ran like clockwork. They planned all the excursions and knew exactly when to get us to places to avoid the crowds. I loved staying here, but I do think the price is quite astronomical! It is in the middle of nowhere and everything is included, but I still think it is overpriced. Uluru is beautiful but it is a once in a lifetime stop for me (and I would assume most travelers). So if you want an awesome experience and have the money to spend, then I would stay.
