If you're on a budget, Uluru is probably not the best place to visit. Unfortunately all of the accomodation is owned by a single company, and they exploit this monopoly by charging through the nose. But if you are heading to Uluru and don't want to spend too much, then Outback Pioneer Lodge is probably a good option being the...

Hi Matt G Thank you for sharing your review of the Outback Pioneer Hotel & Lodge and I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay. Providing a good value experience is extremely important to us however unfortunately the operational costs of supply chain transport to a remote resort like ours is significantly higher than that of hotels based...

If you couldn't already tell from your research, you don't really have much choice of places to stay in Yulara/Uluru and I'm pretty sure it's all owned/operated by the same company. There are basically varying levels of hotels/experiences. If you want to camp, that's an option, if you don't mind staying in a 20 person dorm, you can do that...up...

We stayed on the campsite in the Ayres Rock Resort and visited the outback pioneer hotel bar all three nights it was that good! There are three other hotels and bars in the resort but this is by far the best, it is also the only one we found with draft beer!, a real must in the dry hot weather.......

Only stayed one night during a fleeting visit, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lodge. We stayed in the very clean 4 bed dorm, which provided ample space for an enjoyable stay. The staff are all very friendly and remained professional, even in the face of some 'tricky' customers, providing a great service. Although check out was early...

Due to camper van issues we had to book into here for a couple of nights (campsite cabins all full) and all we could get was a 4 bed mixed dorm. The room was very basic, especially considering that 4 people at $46 pp is nearly $200 for the room for a night. We had to go to reception to...

Stayed here with my sister during our tour of Oz. Part of the Ayers Rock Resort in Yalara. Good sized clean rooms, great BBQ option for tea, take away and snacks and sit down restaurant. This is the location for live music and a laid back bar. 15 min walk from town square, or get the free shuttle bus every...

Lovely spot close to the sacred rock. We didn't stay as y he accomadation was expensive still even though the cheapest around if not camping. For a shared down it was 120 AUD which was a little over our budget.

First make sure you know if you are booked at the lodge or hotel because they are at the same place but different lines at reception. I stayed in the 4 person mixed dorm which just had the two bunk beds and a trash can. Luckily I had good roommates. The communal shower and toilets were fine and not too...
