The first room ($225) had a mattress that didn't fit on the bed base and ripped blankets. We were upgraded to another, much better, room (I would never pay the asking price of $265). There was one flimsy blanket and this is central Australia in late winter! The room had no details of how to contact reception but I finally... More

Staff provided average service on arrival and I had to prompt to get information. Felt like I was intruding on their time. Rooms are very basic for the price we had to pay. Internet is extra which is strange when you are an Accor member. The property has options for dinner, but food is only offered between specific times and... More

Tucked away at the back of Yulara Desert Resort this venue features both a budget hotel & dorm rooms. It basically caters for all requirements & budgets. On site dining options include a do-it-yourself bbq option & a dine-in restaurant. Both options are reasonably priced given the location. A beautiful swimming pool features at the resort. Limited parking is an... More

This hotel is within the voyagers complex so offers lots to do within the resort. The hotel itself is old and the rooms are very dated and run down. Not what I expected from accor even though it is their budget hotel. The cost is not budget and is very expensive for the quality of room. Room service was hit... More

The staff at the Outback Pioneer were helpful and empathetic. Depending on the time of day the check-in lines can be a bit long. The Hotel room was very comfortable and clean. The grounds of the Outback Pioneer are clean and very nice to walk around. A short climb to a hill top and you can view Uluru from the... More

You need to pay for wifi and for Internet time on computers. It's very cold there at night, so going out to the toilet (if you don't have one in your room) can be a bit of a nightmare. There is music every night and a free transport service to and from the airport.

A great place to stay - friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great amenities all amid spectacular scenery. All this and the prices are quite reasonable ... considering it is in the middle of no-where.

The Outback Pioneer offered a comfortable, quiet and well maintained room in Yulara. We spent 4 nights here and would be happy to recommend it. Yes the tarrif is a tad high, but this is Yulara where the hotels have you over a barrel due to lack of competition and can therefore charge whatever they like. The hotel also offers... More
